Anyone agreed that this is the greatest feature ever created in ANY SPORTS video game? I mean the whole integration w/ LIVE NBA scores and stats and having real time dynamic commentary...is JUST AMAZING. It'll never get old and it always stay current. This is what i been telling developers to do since the creation of 2K sports genre. I say you need to have dynamic commentary, NOT generic because it gets old. Dynamic commentary will never gets old...it stays current. The whole presentation is just very slick....the Half Time show highlights and Assist of the Game and then they update real NBA scores and talk about which team is leading....seriously, are you kidding me!! The Jordan Player of the Game and the interview after the game. The whole thing is pretty slick. I can honestly say that this is the single feature that will make me buy the game regardless if they have any other modes (MyGM, MyPlayer, ect.) in there. I actually don't care about other modes. NBA Today can be a game in ITSELF and that's enough to warrant a purchase.

similar features are in mlb the show, fifa, and nba live, but they don't go in depth as 2k does though.

Never got what was so great about the mode. It's an exhibition game with up to date commentary. Not exactly something I'm rushing to play when I boot up 2k.Comment

NBA Today has been my favorite mode since it was introduced. I've always liked the real-time nature of the games, the dynamic commentary, and other presentation elements that make the games seem real. But I mix it in with some Association, as I like playing games that have some longer-term meaning. I do understand some people not enjoying playing essentially an exhibition game, but for me it's more about enjoying playing the games themselves and the competition that comes from it. It's not all that much different than playing a one-off game in real life; you play for the enjoyment of playing the game. Not necessarily having a need to progress to some goalHBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

Played an NBA Today game today (Nuggets vs. Bulls) at the end of the game when I exited to the main menu the game crashed to PS4 home screen. Now it keeps crashing repeatedly every time I try to access NBA Today. Is this happening to anyone else?and... BOOM goes the dynamite!Comment

I think that's what a lot of people like about it...updated commentary, overlays etc....adds some spice to a guy like me who plays quick games...nothing mind blowing but pretty cool...
You could probably say:
MyPlayer is just player lock with endorsements etc., Association is just a season mode with player role management etc.
It's all the little nuances that make these modes enjoyable..Comment

Yes this has been one of my favorite players for the past few years. The dynamic commentary, stats info, league info, 2K has a great feature. One of the things I hope gets added for season mode or possibly exhibition mode is for the game to have highlights of current games that day/night from around the league during the halftime show, like NFL2K5 did or I remember back when NBA Live 95 did this also. But yeah it's a awesome feature to me, with a lot of potential to grow more and go deeper.Comment
