    PS4 crash with madden 25

    anyone seeing there system crash with the following error?

    An error has occurred in the following application.
    (CE-34878-01)
    Madden NFL 25

    This seems to be related to the Defense custom playbook

    I did not have this issue till just now, after updating the system software that was to fix some type of connectivity issue.

    Also when I launch madden with my custom defense playbook
    there my play book is now empty, and all my guys just huddle at the line of scrimmage and face the bench. Strange, all started after updating the system software

    Edit: Seems my playbook got corrupted, I created a new one and now the system seems stable.

      Im having a similar issue. Its giving me the error code (CE-34878-00) and crashes every time I try and start a game regardless of mode. It even crashes when I go to switch the uniforms in the play now screen. Anybody have an idea as to how I can get my damn game to play?

          It did it again for no reason, I did not make any changes to my D play book,
          it was working fine, then all of a sudden, when I play a game there is no plays in my D play book, when I go to edit my D play book the system crashes with the below error.

          I hope this is a Madden software glitch and not a PS4 issue.

          Anyone got any idea on this?

              I'm having the same thing with offensive playbooks, game crashes right after kickoff or before. Any ideas? The game locks up at resuming a franchise that's in the middle of a game as well, anyone else have these issues?

                  Hmm game runs excellent for me, mine is the downloaded version. If you have the disc make sure theres no finger prints.

                      I'm not sure it would be fingerprints since it loads up fine unless I load a custom playbook or I resume a game in progress in CCM.

                      Should I re-install my gate data or something? It's getting to the point it's unplayable.

                          If you Google that error, you'll see it's been hitting various owners of different ps4 games. Some seem to have fixed it by deleting all game files and starting over, but not everyone. I have 4 games for ps4, since launch, and haven't seen it yet. I'm planning on getting Madden later this afternoon. Hope it doesn't bite me.

                              Hope I don't run into any issues. But I do kind of feel like a beta tester with these launch consoles.

                                  Thanks for the tip. I was having this problem yesterday but it started when I messed with the gameplay sliders.

                                  Then when it doesn't kick me out, and I'm in "play now mode" using custom sliders, I can't pick a play from the formation menu, and it will only let me pick a play from the game flow menu.

                                  Except there isn't a name for the play in the game flow box, and when my players go to get lined up they stay all jumbled together.

                                  Has this happened to anyone else when they set the gameplay sliders?

                                      I re-installed the game, and I've got it to there the custom playbooks doesnt crash it, but it still won't resume from an in-game save.

                                          Got a different Madden disc, same thing, loads up to the game and it won't load any of the plays in the custom playbook and crashes. Obviously it's not something with disc protection, and must be an issue with the HD, etc.

                                          I've been googling with no real help, next call will be to Sony I guess.

                                              The error is tied to your profile and the custom PB (Off or Def). You will notice after you create a custom PB and then go into your profile and set your default PB to that custom PB save and then exit. Then go back into your profile and it will now show "Team Specific" as the pb and not your custom. But when you goto play a game when you click advanced settings at the load screen it shows your custom PB.

                                              The work around is very quick and simple and has been executed in random play now as well as user CCM games. When you go to start click advanced as I said but when you see your custom PB, this time cycle off it then cycle right back to it. After that the game will load no problem.
