Shot stick or Buttons?

What do you guys use? i keep going with both throughout a game kinda annoying can't decide

Definitely buttons. I absolutely hate the new shot stick.

Buttons. I was a shot stick user every year except this year. The lag for the shot input is really bad. 2k13 had the perfect layout. Plus shooting in general is different this year. It seems like the release window is too fast

I use the button for shooting, and stick for free throws.

Buttons for jump shots, stick for layups/dunks, but I use the button for free throws. I did on accident in 2k13, and haven't stopped using the button since.

Could be just me with the Stick i feel like it's taking forever to get it on a perfect release

While driving to the hoop, hold the shot stick away from the hoop for a floater/runner.

Or do you mean with the square button? If so, I'm not sure.

For catch and shoots I use the button but I tend to use the stick when I'm trying to drive to the hoop so I can do spin shots or step back jumpers quickly. I find the spin shots have helped me score in my career a lot.

Yep I mean with the shot button. I dont think it can be done.

I like using the stick for shooting, but i use the button for the fake, i find it easier not having to worry about that fine line between dribble/fake/shot.

There lots of very fine lines.

Holding the left stick and pressing X/Square is supposed to produce a pro-hop but it only ends in a shot fake.
