How can you not play as two people controlling one team on MyGM or a Season

I knew you couldn't control more than one user, so my roommate and I decided to play a MyGM as the Thunder where both of us play on the same team. Unfortunately, we are unable to do this. All games have to be played as a single user vs the cpu...It's so unfortunate that this can't be done. I just want to be able to play with my friends, not always by myself against the cpu.

P.S. we attempted this with a season as well and it still cant be done.

It was possible before the patch/update. Then they disabled it for some reason. It sucks because me and my brother always played a co-op type seasons and had a blast. No more, I hope they put this option back in. Never understood why they took it out in the first place

Im selling/trading this game if they dont put that option back in...all these useless omissions that doesn't make any sense

dont even get me started on not being able to control more than one team with the season mode

I've also noticed that while playing a game in MyGM, if your controller dies, it signs you out of your profile and your game. 2k removed the choose side feature in MyGM so the game becomes stuck as a cpu vs cpu matchup and there's no way to reconnect the controller and go back to controlling your team.

This has resulted in several simmed games that I have wanted to continue playing, but couldn't

Yeah, this entire lack of two player functionality, either controlling one team or two, in all the modes beside Quickmatch, is a major problem. I'm no coder or programmer, but really, how hard can it be to implement two players into these modes?

Come on, 2k. Either put it in, or give us an explanation to what the heck is going on. Your customers demand to know.

The ability to play on the same team and the controller select screen was actually in the game when it shipped (so we could play on the same team {couch co-op} in myGM mode) but was taken out with the first update...I can't understand why they would do that (take it out). I really hope they put it back in!

I wasn't aware that before the update you could indeed have a multiplayer, single team control in MyGM. Wow.

These companies forget that some of us have real friends that play games in real houses on real couches. Online has it's place and that is fine, but to take something out of the game that we have enjoyed for over a decade on a "NEXT GEN" system blows my mind.

Madden tried to do it recently when they removed coop from franchise and they got BLASTED on these forums until the patch fixed it. I had sold my madden copy to gamestop cuz I don't sit by myself gaming. That was the last time I buy a Madden game, but at least they fixed it. I purchased an xbox one with an extra controller and NBA 2k14. Last friday night my buddy and I looked at each other like, "ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Madden coop disaster all over again? Ruined our launch weekend. Gamefly sent madden over so been playing that. Never thought in a million years I would be saying that i should have given EA my 60 bucks and gameflied 2k14. Have always been a 2k guy since the very first sports games.

If EA was able to patch coop in for Madden I will be disgusted if 2k does not do the same thing and hopefully much faster than it took EA to fix Madden.

Do not forget about the loyal purchasers who aren't playing Park or whatever other online crap you have going that hardly ever works or is plagued by cheesy players who ruin the games anyways once they finally start one. Some of us actually know real friends and socialize with human beings in person!!!

Ooooohhhh that's what happened to my game. I couldn't figure out why it quit on me. Had to put down the controller and take an important phone call. 15 minutes later my game was gone and when I went back into the mode I could only watch the CPU smdh.

My guess is 2K removed it because of paranoia that two player coop or controller switching could somehow allow you to glitch for VC.

Maybe they already know of a glitch, or maybe they just want to remove all possibility by having a completely controlled experience like the removal of the player roles switch.

I suspect that VC driven decisions are now higher in the priority list than features that provide fun. It's not a great situation when there's monetary motivation to make a game less fun for more people in order to turn a higher profit.
