Regarding Players Leaving/Transfers
Does it help to stop players from leaving your program, by lowering their attributes before that part of the offseason?Tags: None -
Re: Regarding Players Leaving/Transfers
Are you talking about players leaving in general (which would include leaving for draft) or just transfers?
Because regarding players leaving early, it's not just based on high ratings, it's also based on player size, number of players at that position, and rating "tiers."

As far as transferring, I'm not sure, I haven't had players transfer out since '12.Alumnus:

Yeah just strictly talking about players transferring out.
I figured if they had a low as possible overall rating they wouldn't go anywhere.Comment

Re: Regarding Players Leaving/Transfers
Specific to Transfers -- is there anything you can do to help induce a transfer? I know you can't really seek them out, but are there things your roster needs to have/not have? I do like the feature, but it seems like I only get one the first time I change to a lesser school.Comment

Re: Regarding Players Leaving/Transfers
For receiving a transfer, the players see you have a need and they could start. Leaving is usually if a position is stacked and will graduate the same year is the trend. I know of somebody that had a player transfer out that would start the next year, but I don't know the details. I seen it happen when coaches leave with HC/OC/DC.PSN: VoltronLeader

Re: Regarding Players Leaving/Transfers
That used to work in past years. Save after your bowl game, sim ahead until you see who's transferring, exit and reload your last save, and change the depth chart. I found though for some positions, it didn't even have to be top of the chart, two-deep was enough.Alumnus:

Re: Regarding Players Leaving/Transfers
The closest to a consistent trick I have seen is during the offseason "Cut Players" screen, cut your roster below 70 players, and the next year your should get a transfer or two. This is best used when building up a doormat program, chances are the guys you'd be cutting would only be a few points higher than the walk-on the game will replace them with anyway.Specific to Transfers -- is there anything you can do to help induce a transfer? Re: Regarding Players Leaving/Transfers
I don't know if that will work. I'm in year 6 of my current dynasty where I have seen guys in the 50's overall transfer from a small school to a large school. I just started year 6 this week where Tennessee got a 57ovr DT who wanted more playing time. The Vols are a top 15 team with 4 DT's on the roster over 75ovr. The team the player left, North Texas, lost 3 of the 5 DT's on their roster to graduation. I thought maybe it was due to home sick but the 57ovr DT was from Texas.
Yes, while I was the OC of FIU in my current dynasty I had recruited a 4* ATH who was my QB of the future. I had two seniors on my roster that would receive the bulk of playing time in my 2 QB system so I red shirted him, I made sure while recruiting him he didn't want playing time which was not listed as his top 3 desires. After the red shirt year he was all set to start but transferred to Oregon. I have since moved on from FIU but he is now a Senior(Rs), the 4th highest rated QB, and the front runner for the Heisman. I keep a spread sheet of player transfers and drafted players just for my own record.Relax, it's just a video game!Comment

Re: Regarding Players Leaving/Transfers
I set the guy I was worried about losing to QB#1 and it worked the second time through, seems to do the trick.
Thanks.Comment
