What is wrong with the Defensive Backs?

Hi all, I played a 10-year connected franchise of Madden 13 and loved it and I like the look of Madden 25 on PS4 but the DB's are infuriating me.

In Man Coverage they are often looking the wrong way and still running upfield when the WR turns to receive the ball, they are that far off the WR that he often escapes their tackle and take it to the end zone. The least I would accept generally in this situation is that the WR makes the catch and gets tackled as he makes the catch. It looks like your DB has never played before.

It doesn't get any better on Zone Coverage. The WR's often run behind them into the end zone and the QB just flights the ball over the safeties head and they stand around 15-20yds away from them oblivious to the fact opposition receivers have run past them and into the exact territory they are paid to guard.

I'm playing on All-Madden level btw. Any thoughts appreciated as it is ruining the game for me at the moment.

All-Madden prolly has your Pass React and Pass Coverage at 25............Try Coverage at 40 with React at 50 and see how that plays, or just go with 40/40 but with it at 25/25 even the 90+ rated CB's and/or Safeties look foolish out there

I wonder if raising awareness via XP helps? I too get irate when I am in cover 3 or cover 4 and a WR just runs a streak right past all of my secondary.

Its the sliders and it makes NO sense. Ive went to a custom pair of sliders im using for CCM and I have them at 40 and the db play is solid. For some reason the guys at tiburon decided..you know instead of making All-Madden play better lets just significantly decrease all of the humans sliders..That way we have a cheesy game where the user immediately feels like they have no shot and their players act like they have never seen a football field..makes NO sense to me!

Except when you are on offense and the safety has eyes in the back of his head and can defy physics to run to the ball.

Switch to all-pro, all-madden is just terrible this year

Use react at 40 and coverage at 20 for both CPU and HUM, also both QB accuracy at 5. Believe me it fixes a lot.

I had this problem initially, but by lowering the CPU pass block the QB actually starts to get pressured and it makes Jason Campbell play like himself whether then Peyton Manning.

You still get the clueless DB every now and then but not enough to game break it. This is on default All Madden btw.

For me, All Madden has ALWAYS played this buggy making the human controlled players complete boneheads and the cpu players are psychic, but I think it's being even more overdone this year on next gen. I definitely suggest playing allpro, and tweaking sliders from there.
