    PS4 Community Project?

I noticed there is a few roster's out there that have a great feature but in my opinion no one has the complete project. So why don't we all combine our abilities to make one great roster. Much like the show does their OSFM project. We would undergo Attributes, Tendencies, Wingspans, Complete Animations, Accessories, Shoes, Complete rosters, Draft Classes, and sliders. What do all of you guys think? Obviously this list sounds daunting however if everyone who is serious in creating a great 2k experience would be able to a section making the game better by 10 fold!
Cal is turning more guys into millionaires than wall-street.

Everyone went pro from the 2012 Kentucky team even the ball boy!

Good luck buddy. Hope you can find enough guys to help you get this done. I know the NEXT Gen Community will appreciate it.

I think it's a decent idea, I'd be happy to throw in my wingspan edits. I think there are a few things that 2k has done to make this difficult to consider though. Because we can't edit injuries or create players the most recent official roster is going to have some advantages over whatever roster we put out unless we're all willing to do our work over and over to stay current (which I am not particularly keen on doing).

I can do accessories & team rotations. I love doing that stuff on my own roster. I'll gladly contribute that to this community project if given the opportunity.

Awesome we're getting the pieces together, the first thing to decide would be what base roster should we use?

Kind of impossible to make a good roster with 2K14 this year. You're either gonna have unplayable injured players if you use the latest roster update, or you'll be missing about 20 NBA players if you use the original roster.

Haven't looked at the editing option but isn't there a create player feature? I know there is no editable faces, limited to say but its not available?

There is no CAP feature unfortunately.

Hmm that certainly throws a wrench in this plan, any one have an idea for the best course of action?

                        Re: PS4 Community Project?

I think it's doable working from the current official roster (or last week's). I think the rosters prior to that are missing way too many real contributors to put together an authentic experience. The hard part will be going into this knowing that Rajon Rondo and the other players injured won't ever be there for quick matches (though they're available for MyGM). We also can't add in a guy who steps up like Jeremy Lin two years ago. It's truly pathetic that they took away the ability to edit injuries and create players.

That being said, there's a lot we can do. Skyler's done some great work with accessories/shoes/ratings/tendencies. Unfortunately it's done on the older roster file without Pressey/Faverani/Dellavedova/Callathes/etc so it'd all have to be redone to take advantage of those players (as well as Bryant's return from injury). Editing one attribute on 150 players for wingspan seems paltry by comparison.

I also think we can do some work to reduce some of the role unhappiness that causes MyGM to devolve into a series of ridiculous trades and revolving door rosters populated by mediocre guys made worse by -12 penalties to their OVR.

So there are things we can do. I think the acceptance that we can't do everything we want to no matter how much work we put in is the difficult part.

I highly agree, I think the goal would be to make the most enjoyable roster, and while a lot of people complain about MyGM I believe the mode has a lot of potential to be a fun mode, if we can make the right adjustments. In reality it will be hard to please both style of gamers, you can have the players, uninjured or missing players.. I think however for the sake of accurate rosters and NBA we should use the last update.

In all honesty, I don't see any possible way of editing a complete roster. Not having every player available in the roster base (because of injuries and no ability to CAP) will cause the roster to lack. I just don't see it.
