I am currently working on a draft class, that will have realistic potentials, bust players and steals, I am calling this a what if draft class because I am using players that never played in the NBA Like Len Bias and.Benji Wilson, and basketball movies like Sidney Dean and Billy Hoyle from White Men Can't Jump. I figured since I can't make a realistic draft I might as well try to do something different. Let me know what you all think

Here's a few that come to my mind. You might already have them:
Real Life - Joe "The Destroyer" Hammond, Pee Wee Kirkland, Hook Mitchell, Lenny Cooke, Booger Smith (Soul in the Hole Documentary), if you want to add AND1 guys - The Professor (Make him kind of like Jwill was with the Kings), Earl "The Goat" Manigault, Hank Gaithers.
Movies - Neon Budreau - (Young Shaq from Blue Chips), Jimmy Chitwood (Prolific Shooter from Hoosiers),Comment

Two things:
1. I would rather a separate draft class for the movie star players than the actual players. I wouldn't really want to mix fictional players with actual players.
2. I think you should expand your search beyond players that never got into the NBA. Draft busts, players who never made it to the NBA, players who had significant injuries that derailed their careers, great college players that never had their game translate to the NBA.
If you go with my suggestions, here's a list for you:
- Acie Law: Memorable player at Texas A&M with his clutch ability but could never cut it in the NBA
- Adam Morrison: The bigtime scorer from Gonzaga turned into a complete bust in the NBA
- Allan Houston: The biggest contract in the NBA in 2001 was never redeemable as injuries limited his following playing time
- Amare Stoudemire: I know he is still in the NB but his knee surgeries have turned him into a different player
- Andrew Toney - The "Boston Strangler" was one of the best defenders until foot injuries ended him
- Anfernee Hardaway: The next great point guard until injuries killed that career
- Arvydas Sabonis: The 31-year old rookie that was a star overseas before coming to America
- Ben Wallace: I know he was a great Piston, but missed out on 5 years after being drafted in 1996
- Ben Wilson: Had future all-star written all over him
- Bo Kimble: Great player that went all mental when teammate Hank Gathers passed away
- Bobby Hurley: Another good college player but never really made an NBA impact
- Brandon Roy: The beginning of Portland's bad luck in the drafts. Knee injuries finished him
- Bryant Reeves: Big Country was a BIG dud
- Calbert Cheaney: Great college player that never jumped off in the NBA
- Chris Porter: Big time leaper and dunker had a good rookie season despite a low second round selection, but run-ins with the law never let him live up to his potential
- Corliss Williamson: Big Nasty could never back up his college accolades in the NBA
- Dajuan Wagner: Was one of the top college players, but injuries finished his career early
- Danny Manning: Had a few good years, but injuries got to him
- Darius Miles: Big time athlete that lost that athleticism with injuries
- Darko Millicic: Pistons fans can never let their brass live this one down with all the other stars in that draft class
- Darvin Ham: Really just put him on here because of his awesome dunk at Texas Tech lol
- David Thompson: Drugs
- Demetrius "Hook" Mitchell: One of the top streetball players that tussled with Gary Payton and Jason Kidd in Oakland but crime derailed him
- Derrick Coleman: Had about five good years until he turned to straight bust material
- Donald "Slick" Watts: Only a six-year career that could have been more
- Dontonio Wingfield: Amazing high school player that left college too early and affected his NBA career
- Doug Wrenn: A top high school player that could never stay out of trouble
- Drazen Petrovic: A car crash at 28 ended the career of a potential amazing player
- Earl Manigault: The GOAT never got to showcase his talent in the NBA
- Ed O'Bannon: Great player at UCLA never showcased in the NBA
- Ed "Booger" Smith: A streetball legend that actually made the cover of Sports Illustrated and had a documentary on him
- Eddie Griffin: Great player at Seton Hall but alcoholism plagued his NBA career despite some good numbers
- Eddy Curry: Never really lived up to the expectations
- Fly Williams: Featured in Heaven Is A Playground book that never became a true team player
- Fran Vazquez: Was one of the top foreign bigmen to come around in awhile and was supposed to join Dwight Howard down low in Orlando, but never made it over here
- Frederic Weis: While being known for being the one Vince Carter dunked over, Weis was also the 15th overall selection in 1999 and gave the Knicks high hopes only to fizzle out
- God Shammgod: Not only one of the coolest names ever, was an amazing player in college
- Grant Hill: Regarded as the first one to take on the throne of Jordan. Injuries killed that thought of ever happening
- Greg Oden: Regarded as one of the next great centers
- Gus Johnson (No, not the announcer): One of the most underrated old players
- Hank Gathers: Putting up amazing numbers at Loyola Maramount until his untimely death
- Harold Miner: Big time dunker that never really got off his feet in his career
- Isaiah "JR" Rider: Went from 5th overall pick to just a dunker in a short time
- Jamal Mashburn: While he had some great years, injuries shortened his career
- James White: Possibly the best dunker of all-time and an athletic defender never got his shot in the NBA from the Pacers and Spurs
- Javaris Crittenton: Played with Dwight Howard in high school, McDonald's All American that could never quite put it all together
- Jay Williams: Darn those motorcycles
- Joe Hammond: Another streetballer that never got his NBA opportunity
- John Wallace: Great player and athlete at Syracuse never quite panned out in the NBA
- Jonathan Bender: One of my favorite players growing up. A 7'0" guy playing at small forward, still has the McDonald's All American record for points in a game and was destined for a great career until knee injuries finished him early
- Korleone Young: Like Lenny Cooke, starred in high school, received some bad advice, and fluttered in the NBA that was affected by injuries
- Kwame Brown: His brick hands never gave him a chance to break out
- LaPhonso Ellis: A knee injury in his third season derailed his career
- Len Bias: Could have kept the Celtics in championship form for years to come
- Lenny Cooke: One of the best high school players in his time, but went undrafted and was never heard from again
- Leon Smith: Averaged 25.5 PPG and 14.5 RPG in high school, first round selection in 1999 but psychological problems kept him out of ever playing an NBA game
- Lester Earl: Amazing high school player that derailed coach Dale Brown and the LSU basketball program due to his recruitment
- Luol Deng: While still playing, injuries changed him from the player he could have been
- Malik Sealy: Good player until his untimely death that rocked the T'Wolves organization
- Marcus Fizer: Stud at Iowa State, dud in the NBA
- Maurice Stokes: Was putting up amazing numbers until a brain injury following a fall in the playoffs
- Mel Daniels: Averaged 18.7 points and 15.1 rebounds in his 8-year ABA career
- Michael Olowakandi: The Kandy Man was regarded as a top center but never quite panned out
- Michael Redd - Prolific scorer that begot by injuries
- Micheal Ray Richardson: Drugs
- Miles Simon: Star at Arizona never panned out in the NBA
- Ndudi Ebi: The T'Wolves first first-rounder following forfeiting their five previous picks had all of the athleticism but could never pan out
- Omar Cook: Broke Mark Jackson's record at St. John's for most assists in a game, received bad advice, left after his freshman year and never quite panned out
- Oscar Schmidt: Was regarded as one of the top foreign players of his time and got high remarks from US players in the Olympics
- Pee Wee Kirkland: The drug world never let him flourish despite his legendary status
- Pete Maravich: I know he is in the game, but his career got derailed by injuries
- Rafer Alston: Skip To My Lou spent too long on the And 1 circuit and never got enough time in the NBA
- Randy Livingston: Two-time co-player of the year in high school had knee injuries at LSU and never panned out
- Raymond Lewis: Amazing college player, first-round draft pick in 1973 but blackballed over a contract dispute never got him in the NBA
- Reggie Lewis: One of only two Celtics to lead the team in points, blocks and steals in the same season
- Robert Swift: Despite his recent nasty living situations (lol), there was a lot of potential for his size but he fell in love too much with the money
- Robert Traylor: The 6th selection and other part of the Dirk Nowitzki trade that weight problems derailed his career
- Ron Harper: While he was a champ in Chicago and Lakers, Harper was a dominant athlete with Clippers before knee injuries
- Ronnie Fields: One of the best dunkers of all time that player on the same HS team as Kevin Garnett
- Roy Tarpley: Drugs
- Sam Bowie: The bust always known to be taken before Jordan
- Sebastian Telfair: The Coney Island legend bypassed Rick Pitino and Louisville to head to the NBA, a mistake in waiting
- Sergio Rodriguez: Regarded as one of the top passers to come along in a long time, his Euro-style play never translated to the NBA
- Shammond Williams: Williams left UNC with a number of school records but could never translate it in the NBA
- Shaun Livingston: My favorite point guard but the most gruesome knee injury I have seen took his train off the tracks
- Shawne Williams: A top athlete ran into criminal problems that derailed his career until his decent year with the Knicks
- Sofoklis Schortsanitis: The originator of the Baby Shaq nickname never made it over to the NBA due to his contract with Olympiacos
- Spencer Haywood: Drugs
- Stanley Roberts: Laziness
- Tracy McGrady: While he was a star, injuries slowed him down later down the road
- Yao Ming - Was going to be a star until injuries got to him
- Yinka Dare: Led George Washington to the Sweet 16, but an ACL injury in his rookie year derailed any hope for him
