Did the coach XP glitch get fixed?

A friend of mine joined an SEC dynasty a couple weeks in, and he's actually accumulating points. Started at level 20 and is now level 21. Did this get fixed somehow or is it just luck? PS3 btw.

Just luck, the glitch is there. EA really dropped the ball on the Coach XP.
