    4-6 Defense

I am looking for any input on how to run a 4-6 defense, what is required for DE'S, DT'S, LB'S DB'S. I searched online and could not find anything pertaining to player types. Thought I'd give my fellow gamers input here. Thanks.

Do u mean the 46 Bear defense? It's really just built to attack. The best thing would be to have players who can get off of blocks and have good acceleration so they can tackle the running back or get to the QB. I would definitely make sure I have good corners because they are usually one on one with the opposing WR. And your Free Safety has to be a great tackler as he is the only one in the defensive backfield if someone happens to get by your front 8. There aren't too many teams that could really run this defense IMO. Probably San Francisco and maybe Seattle. I do occasionally run it in my Carolina franchise, but it's pretty rare. If my secondary were better, I'd run it more.

I am pretty sure the psychic blocking makes it pretty difficult to run as it was intended. The AI will just bring a guy with eyes in the back of head across the field to pick up the block. It is also no very good against spread offenses.

That's true. It's designed to bring pressure, but it won't work as it's intended to. And I don't think anyone should try to run a 46 bear defense against a 3 or 4 receiver formation.

I run the 46 normal cover 4 a lot. I spread d-line and put one DT in yellow zone and the other in a spy then man align, and zone to the middle. Very good against the pass but leaves the flats open.
