    Choppy Play

I went and looked about this issue and the only source indicated Instant Replays and highlights. The fix is truly a bummer for me as I love instant replay. Is this the only solution? clean the Hard Drive and no longer use replay? Any other fix would be appreciated.

    Re: Choppy Play

I've seen people say that you can fix the choppiness by going into instant replay again and watch the play until the very end. That never worked for me.

However, I've never had a problem since I started doing the following:

After a play finishes, I access it through the Highlights menu and watch it from one of the pre-defined camera angles. I've done this literally hundreds of times, and have never seen the game get choppy afterward. I've only had the guts to access instant replay from the Highlights menu maybe a half dozen times, but I've never had a problem after doing so either.

I can't guarantee it'll be the solution for you, but its worked great for me so far!

watch every replay? dear lord that sounds awful.

open instant replay. play at regular speed. move camera around like crazy. take photo. cancel photo. go back to playing. usually solves it for the remainder of the game in play.

What do you mean "watch every replay"? I never said that. Go back & read what I said. Geez. I just said access your replay from the Highlights menu. How much more simple can you get?

And I've tried the picture taking thing. It doesn't always fix it.

anybody else? surely sounds like you "access" and watch a lot of replays. "after a play finishes" also sounds like after every. single. play.
Geez, comprehend your own words and try to make sense to the general public and not just yourself. clarify. perhaps you meant "after a play with glitchy FPS".

I'm not talking about fixing choppy play once it has started. I'm talking about avoiding it in the first place. That's why I started my description with "I've never had a problem since I started doing the following". I thought people would understand that, but I guess I could've been more clear.

            To clarify:
I haven't experienced choppy play since I started accessing replays from the Highlights screen, by clicking X [360] on the most recent play in the list. I do this instead of selecting the Instant Replay button on the pause menu. I can't guarantee it will work for you, but it has for me. I'll admit I've only done this 6 or 7 times, just because I was concerned it might cause the graphics slowdown.

If that idea doesn't work for you and you want to see the last play again, just access it from the highlights menu & use one of the pre-defined camera angles. I've done that hundreds of times, and I've never experienced choppy play afterwards. Its a poor substitute for full replay functionality, but its better than nothing.

Hopefully this cleared everything up. I've had a long day, and this discussion was just the icing on the cake. I need to spend less time on bulletin boards...

Now I'm a bit confused. when you guys say choppy play, are you guys talking about like lag during a play? or like it when it kinda freezes for a half a second like right when a tackle is made?

                Re: Choppy Play

The choppy play is referring to laggy/choppy/sluggish general gameplay that is sometimes triggered after watching an instant replay.

I haven't tried to access instant replays from the highlight menu, but will do so. Thanks for the tip.
