Anyone else seeing injuries happening to their OL????

This is incredible! Over the last 6 or 7 games, I've had 3 OLs go down to injury. They said a player was injured and I didnt tihnk much of it, 2 players later they show his pic and its my OL and im like WTF, seriously??? So a few games later it happens again and I check the replay and sure enough im OL is laying down on the ground holding his leg. Just played a game just now and my best player LT Trent Williams got injured and franctured his ankle. Out 5 weeks. I wasn't concernd about getting solid FAs on the OL because they never got injured so i didnt care if my backup was Joe Schmoe with a 12 overall rating... but now I have something to consider!

I almost NEVER see an OL injury...

Are you playing offline or online CCM?

What system are you on (PS3 or XBOX) and did you DL the latest patch / number 3?

Lastly, what are your injury and fatigue settings?

Yeah I have the latest patch. Im on the 360 playing offline franchise. Im in season 3 and before 30 days ago I hadnt even had 1 OL injury while playing. 3 or 4 since then. Not sure what changed but Im loving it!

The latest patch was SUPPOSED to return the injuries to online play, but it may have had an effect on offline CCM as well, from your description...

I didn't DL that one yet, because I didn't want it to bork my sliders, but if it returns injuries to a realistic rate, I may have to...

Do you see a lot of injuries for the CPU teams whose games you sim at 50?

I don't see too many injuries either. Early in the season, I had like four or five injuries over the course of four to five weeks. Ever since then, I haven't had any injuries that took a player out for more than the game that was being played. Actually, Jon Beason got hurt in my last game and never came back. Next time I play, I have to check and see if he sustained a serious injury.

I would love to see injuries happen to my O and D Line, but this seems to me will never happen. It seems like only contact in form of a tackle can cause any injuries (not sure why this is not true for the D-Line, as they tackle sometimes).

It would be good to know, if the injuries did happen after a turnover or recovered fumble, when the linemen was tackled or he tackled someone.

One of the things EA did not take advantage of the "new engine" is to calculate EVERY contact on the field regarding to injuries. I think that would be one of the better features to bring in future versions. Seeing your 93 Guard gets hurt after another player was brought to the ground and landet on his leg.
Will not happen the next five years, I guess.

Yeah lots... and it seems to vary yr to yr. Season 1 I went 4-12 because for atleast 10 weeks of the yr I had RGIII, Alfred Morris and Garcon injured at same time...

Yr 2 wasn't too bad, costantly had 2-3 injured players every game but it was basically one of my rookies who is injury prone, and I also added Yeremiah Bell that year as a strong FA pickup.... he played in 3 of my 19 games that year. Injured the rest.

This year is bad, however. In week 1 my backup MLB got injured, so on kickoffs Ryan Kerrigan filled in for him. That one play Kerrigan get injured, out 7 weeks. I'm also down that same yr 2 rookie again hes out for 5 weeks, I have about 6 injruies total but thats ok because im sure every NFL team does at some point during the year.

Most teams have between 2-7 players on their injury list.

Just lost my starting center for 7 weeks with a torn hamstring. I was running a hb iso up the middle and the defensive tackle wrapped up my running back and brought him down. My center was just standing and tripped over the pile.

Glad that injuries work, but it still doesn't make up for the piss poor qb sim stats and same special teams since madden 99.
