Is the blind quick match vs screen just for xbox one?

I am sure this has already been discussed but can not find a thread on it but I am sure someone here has answered this question. On the XB1 on quick match the opponent is blind and I have no way of knowing who I am playing if they quit. I have played 3 ranked matched and have won all 3 but the last two players quit. Since there is no recent played list on XB1 for whatever reason I can never know who I played. Then when you go into a lobby and try to invite someone or someone invites you into a match it brings you into a party or it does absolutely nothing. If you get an invite it is a certain way you have to accept it or you will never get into the room to play anyone. I am seriously thinking about getting this for the 4 tomorrow as I am about fed up with the nagging XB1 glitches so far. Just keeps adding up and it is a mess for a $500 system out the box, super frustrated. Question I haveis it blind when you go into a quick match or do you know who you are playing from the team selection screen before the match starts?

I'm not sure if this helps but when I play quick matches it lets me click the left thumb stick at the team selection screen to see the person you're playing against on X1.
