Fun things to do in CFM?

I've become bored with the mode, is there any way to spice it up? I've done fantasy drafts, rebuilding, etc...does anyone do anything different with owner mode that would be fun?

Moving Jacksonville to Houston and making them the Oilers.

Oilers, Titans, and Texans in same division. Just wish the commentary and news system recognized it.

Move Denard Robinson to QB and give him the QB stats you want. When I did this he rushed for a thousand yards as a QB and hardly threw at all simwise

Personally, when I play as the oilers, I enable all relocation move the titans and then turn relocation back to whatever.

        Try different offenses and defenses.

I, too, was starting to get bored of offline CFM (my online league with friends is awesome but I needed something fun to play single player). So I decided to start a 32-team control CFM and wow.... Haven't had this much fun in a long time playing Madden. It can get a little annoying at times and some parts of the mode are very time consuming (off season) but man, is it worth it.

I looked into 32 team control, but it took FOREVER.

How in the world do you scout players and handle free agency?

Seems like it would take WEEKS just to get through the offseason!

I use NCAA draft classes, so I don't do too much drafting. For the most part, I draft by scheme/need for each team and based on how those players produced in their college years. This allows for busts drafted high, beasts that slip through the rounds, late round sleepers, etc etc. Took me a few days to finish my first off season, but I'm about to start the 2014-15 regular season and man am I excited.

Im in the same spot as you. I have an online CFM with a friend that we created like in november. We are on season 4 because we played like 6 games per day. However, two days ago was the first time sof ar in the year that we continued, as college has both of us pretty stucked (im in the morning/afternoon, he's at night) so we cant barely play on weekdays anymore.

So i also wanted some fun in offline CFM and yesterday I created a 32 team roster control CFM. Im just in the preseason but it's a lot of fun to play.

I just created Phil Knight as owner of the Chargers and am moving them to Portland. Only thing I'm not sure of right now is whether to jack prices or lower them. Since I'm moving I could use some extra money to help move but I feel that since this is the last year and our stadium is ****ty they should be real low.

Pick your favorite team and then fantasy draft sim. Take whatever roster they gave you and play with a good set of sliders. Set boundries for your cfm, such as no trading for players over 75 ovr, or exiling free agency, etc.

It sounds really fun, but my xbox is going through the "unrecognized disk error" s00000000.......can't do anything atm.

I'm gonna do 32 team control, however, I'm only going to resign franchise players for other teams no Andrew Luck or unrealistic releases by other teams and than let the computer sim the rest. Same of drafting players for other teams, I'm only going to do the first two rounds and use the draft guide to help me draft players for other teams. Won't have to scout players. Ill fill those two rounds by position needs even if there is a player that is a 6rounder but he's rated like a first rounder I'll treat it as that and draft that player in the first or second round for whatever teams needs him. Ill of course control everything for my team and let CPU do the rest of the other stuff with salery cap turned on to make it semi realistic. There will of course have to be team releases because of that so that there are good players in the free agency pool. Thoughts?

That sounds good - I like the idea of using draft guides instead of scouting.

I think I found a nice middle ground. I'm going to stick with 1 user CCM with my Panthers, but as soon as we get to around the halfway point in the season, I'm going to go in and resign key players to the CPU teams by quickly creating coaches and then deleting them. Hopefully this will help make sure key guys don't get let go.

Also if I see the CPU has just unnecessarily loaded up on one position through the draft (like signing an 89 OVL QB and then drafting 4 other QBs) I'll simply create another character, quickly take over the team, and trade some QBs for other areas of needs to other teams.

If I also see the CPU pointlessly release a key player in the preseason, I'll just quickly take over that team, resign him, and then move on.
