Now, back in the day, I was the one that broke to news of Madden being RTP. Because of a good inside source that I have, I have more information regarding the future of EA, Madden and the NFL. Are you ready? EA will continue to make Madden up until 2019, without restrictions as a new dew deal has been placed. They will be required to sell the game at the $49 price point only. As a matter of fact, MIcrosoft AND Sony will also be required to sell their new NFL products at the new price point of $49. That's right! The exclusivity of the NFL license will be officially over on February 3rd! Just wait and see...This is what I was told from my source who works for EA. Madden '15 will also not be out until 2015 to include the new Pro Bowl Draft and set-up. An exclusive NFL simulation game for Microsoft XBOX One and a seperate NFL simulation for PS4 are both scheduled for 2016 season. No word on 2K.

Surely they wouldn't need extra three months to make the pro bowl draft. And it's not like it's a fresh surprise, they've known it for at least 6 months now.

Im with everyone else, theres no way they are skipping a year. Leads me to believe this is all false. Also the whole $49 price point seems highly unlikely as well.

Not sure if it has any bearing but it was just announced that CBS won the rights to broadcast 8 Thursday night games this year. Previously the NFL network broadcasted all 16 Thursday nights games. Could this be a sign that the nfl is moving away from exclusivity media wise?

Listened to the customers?

They have two choices, listen to the investors or listen to the customers.

Investors don't want their money once every two years once they are used to every year.

If this is true then I'm willing to bet PS4 gets shafted with an inferior game. Seeing as EA is in bed with Microsoft.

I hope more than anything that 2K starts making NFL football games again or a football game, period. It's best for everybody. Competition creates motivation and motivation creates innovation.

This makes no sense.

He meant that Sony would develop an NFL game and Microsoft would develop an NFL game. Where did EA come into play? If anything, EA showing Microsoft the ropes would make their game even worse.
