Scouting-Confidence and Personality?
How does scouting and personality fit into how well the player is? For example, I'm scouting a guy who is looking good so far. Has the right scheme, good run blocker and is overall is a B. However, he has an F in Personality and 1 in confidence. Should I shy away from him or is that even going to matter?Tags: None -
Re: Scouting-Confidence and Personality?
i think confidence helps him break out of a cold streak, and sustain any hot streaks, im not positive though. But unless youre doing owner mode, personality doesnt matter at all, and even if you are doing owner, youre still going to make enough profit from the jerseys of your stars. so in final it doesnt really matter. -

I'm not doing owner mode, so I guess I better quit wasting points on Personality. The Confidence thing makes sense though, thanks.i think confidence helps him break out of a cold streak, and sustain any hot streaks, im not positive though. Re: Scouting-Confidence and Personality?
usually high personality guys are good to great. Found a few sleepers that way. I save scouting for it from about the fourth round on.

Re: Scouting-Confidence and Personality?
So you're saying if you're scouting a guy you plan to take early, don't waste the points on the confidence, but if its a guy you might take later on, then scouting the confidence makes sense? I see this logic, just want to make sure I understand right.Comment

Re: Scouting-Confidence and Personality?
Personality Rating - Helps determine how marketable the player is. The more marketable the player, the better chance he’ll have of becoming a top-10 selling jersey in the NFL, which of course means more money for the owner.Comment

Re: Scouting-Confidence and Personality?
It should also be remembered that personality ratings are broke.
personality can never be manually upgraded, nor popularity. So if you load a class and Johnny football has an 80 and lower personality...dont ever expect him to sell a jersey for you in owner. I have drafted a TE cj federoicks rated 57 ovr...neger played a down throughout the season had a 96 personality rating and was number 3 in nfl top ten jersey sales just about every week.
You would think that a first or second round QB,rb or wr pick would sell more jerseys than a 7th rd TE...or a udfa FB....but that's not how it works. In my ten load avg projections for chargersfan21's draft class... The top 5qbs all had a D or F personality rating 8 orlf the ten times. The other two times Johnny football was rated a C, teddy Bridgewater was rated an A Once and a C the other. Everyone knows once Johnny football is drafted that fans of his team will buy his jersey over the any other rd pick they made, but madden doesn't think so. I've given up on trying to have players I draft have top personality rating because they never work out.Comment
