The Coaching Career of Miles Perry (MM07)

Ever since March Madness started I'd been itching to get back in to a college hoops game. So I bought March Madness 07 for like $8 and took about a week or so to get comfortable with the game. I love the dynasty mode in this game as it has a lot to offer. I'll be starting my coaching career with the Campbell Fighting Camels and working my way up from there.

Recruiting Rules
Can't recruit players more than 1 star better than school prestige.
Can only sign players at position needs (unless team has less than 12 players).

Gameplay Rules
Since picks work so well in this game I will only run set plays 50% of the time. Other than that I haven't encountered any real "cheap" ways to win.
I also can only play one game per week. Some weeks I might not play games just because I'm busy recruiting or whatever.

Budget Rules
At least 15% of my total budget must go to Gameplan. 20% must go to Discipline. The rest can go to Recruiting.

Campbell Info
Conference: Atlantic Sun
Location: Buies Creek, North Carolina
Prestige: 1 Star
School Spirit: 2 Stars

Coach Miles Perry
Offense: Look for fastbreak opportunity. Settle in to 1-4 set or allow Levine or David to create.
Defense: Usually man to man, but will mix in 1-2-1-1 full court press if having trouble.
Recruiting Philosophy: Offense first for PG, SG, and SF. Defense first for PF and C.

The Camels will be lead this year by senior shooting guard Levi David. He's a contender for the conference POY award and should put up big numbers throughout the year. Point guard Abiodun Levine is also expected to contribute. His speed and quickness will often push the pace in transition. Coach Perry has his work cut out for him though as this team is loaded with Seniors and Juniors.

2006-2007 Schedule

*Unfortunately I can't post stats for games I don't play. I also can't see the score by half unless I write it down as it's being simmed.

Campbell Wins Thriller
Campbell came out of Athens with a win tonight. The game was tightly contested from start to finish. Ohio had a 13 point lead about half way through the second, but the Campbell press forced turnovers leading to easy points helping the Camels get back in the game. Coach Perry was not very pleased with the way his team played this evening, but was glad the team came out with a win. Just 4 minutes in to the game Levine picked up his 3rd foul. After that all hell seemed to break loose and Campbell kept turning the ball over. Levi David dropped a career high 36. Many are thanking him for keeping Campbell in the game. With just over 8 seconds left Ohio took a 1 point lead after hitting two free throws. 6 seconds later Levi David was fouled and hit 2 free throws to earn Campbell a win.
