With this forum be dead on May 6th?

With all of the talk about The Show going to the PS4 next month, what's going to happen to the PS3 forum here? Is everyone going to abandon it and jump to the PS4? As much as I love The Show, I'm not prepared to drop $600 on a baseball game, so I'm hoping this forum stays active.

Not everyone has a PS4. It'll be like the madden and 2k forums. They didn't die out when PS4/XBO dropped.

Unlikely as not everyone will make that leap just like not everyone made the leap from PS2 to PS3 right away.

Edit: It is much more likely that there will be more PS3 players than PS4 players.

PS4 $399 + tax = $415ish
MLB 15 $59.99 + tax = $64

Of course if you want the camera (100% optional and not needed) and an extra controller it'll be $600.

I get your point though. I wouldn't have gotten a PS4 until just now if I didn't find one when they released and made and impulse buy.

"Everyone" is not accurate. Not all of us have an endless stream of credit or cash or still live at home. Real life tends to get in the way of finances.

Last night as I was playing MLB 14 on the PS3 I said to myself "Man the PS4 version is going to look awesome, I should get a PS4 console". But then this morning as I left for work, I reminded myself as I manhandled my heavy garage door to open it "Man this garage door is still broken, I really need to spend the money towards fixing it before I spend money on a new gaming console".

I have no plans to get a PS4 this year. Maybe in time for MLB 15, but I'll still be coming back to this forum for the foreseeable future.

The PS4 opens your garage door for you...not really but its a pretty awesome system. As hard as it is for me to hold out from buying the PS3 of the Show, I know the PS4 version will be better so its kinda bearable.

Can't you just leave the garage door open...problem solved! Haha, I'm terrible sorry just can't wait for the game.

Yeah I dont plan on buying a PS4 anytime soon. I'll let them build up the number of playable games first before I drop that kind of money on a new console.

I think SOTS alone will keep plenty of OS'ers playing the PS3 Show, & thus, giving plenty of reasons to post in this forum. I have the ps3 show and I also have a ps4. I will get the show come May, but I will play some of my franchise on the ps3 as I need my Sounds.

Not likely. Many more people own a PS3 than a PS4. I'm not aware of projections, but my guess is this forum will have a lot of activity this year and the next. In 2016, my prediction, there will be more activity on the PS4 forum. 2015 probably equal. That being said, I'm kicking myself for giving away my PS3 to a family member. Wish I could be playing it now. Bought PS4 in November in anticipation of MLB 14 The Show. Vita getting me through, but I drool over the PS3 system as compared to the Vita.

Well i'm going to be on PS3 as long as the PS3 keeps making the Show .. i just can't spend that kind of money right now or anytime soon for a PS4, especially now after our hours have been cut at work .. i picked up my PS3 copy of 14 The Show Tuesday and i'm really enjoying RTTS mode more then ever this year.
