Completely agree...this game is fantastic. There is so much content in this game and the actual golf is great. Purchased the season pass.

The hub does not really bother me and I have not had difficulty with camera angles despite hearing that over and over in reviews. The 3d is actually pretty fun to engage but I am generally leaving it off. Excited to have my golf fix taken care of until something is available on the xbox one.

Played the demo, this game looks pretty cool. Thinking about picking it up after work today, how is the customization in the game? Does it keep track of stats at all?

The amount of online tournaments this game has might alone be enough to get it. Is there any "real" golf equipment in the game, i.e. Nike, TaylorMade, etc.?

I believe all upgrades are fictional items. It does have decent stat tracking with things like best score, ave, best drive, and a handful of others. You only see your own stats so there is no ranking or anything as far as I can tell.

So far loving this game, and enjoying the open world in the castle club that Mario Golf on GBA had brought back with the Mii characters. I'll probably avoid the online tournys until I get a feel for club adjustments. I did score my first hole in one on the Forrest Course tonight as well.

Appreciate the feedback, I went ahead and bought the digital download last night. I'm really liking the game so far, I've completed the first two tournaments.

yeah I sure do wish it was on the Wii U, definitely would get it then. The demo was fun on the 3DS though.

Has anyone tried the online tournaments yet? What's the level of competition like?

I'm trying to upgrade some of my equipment and then maybe take my game online. Currently have about a +1.5 Handicap after 2-3 rounds.

Don't be intimidated by the online tournaments because you can play them over and over. I have not decided if I hate this or like this. Basically if you play it again it gives you the option to replace your previous entry.

I am not a huge fan because this gives people with all the time in the world time to play it over and over and over. I sort of hope they change this. It is still great fun though. You can go in to the tournament and look at "best scores" to see what the top people are getting and see where you currently rank. Very cool, I just wish there was at least an option to not allow multiple attempts.

I definitely recommend jumping into the tournaments though...it becomes an addiction. Between castle club country, castle club world, the mario open stuff and private tournaments it is off the charts in things to do. Fun game.

Awesome, thanks again for the great feedback. I agree, they should NOT allow multiple attempts. Totally defeats the purpose of having a great round only to have someone take endless attempts at beating it.

For a game that is targeted to "kids" it's wonderful how deep it is. I love the HUB of the Castle Club, really cool idea. This was definitely a great purchase. Hope to see you out on the links!
