    Best wife ever...

If this is the wrong thread, I apologize, but I had to brag an the Mrs. She asked me earlier tonight, "What do you want for Father/birthday?" (they are close together).

    Me: The baseball game...

    Her: Ok. How much? $46?

Me: No that was the football game (NCAA 14). MLB 14 is a new game.

    Her: So more than $46?

Me: 59.99 depending on where you get it.

At this point I explained buying a PSN card and getting a discount on top of no tax at a certain store. Then I remembered Amazon. I pulled it up (Prime account).

Me: 53.99 no tax and or shipping.

I'm thinking I'll get it around Father's Day.

Wife: Go ahead and get it.

    Me: REALLY!?!?!?

    Her: Yeah.

This woman bought me a PS3 and a 1 yr PSN plus earlier this year on top of NCAA 14. Now this.

Yes, my wife is well cared for to say the least.

Yes she has a sister but she is married as well, lol.

You're lucky the conversation continued about prices and such. You could have ended up with a gift of RBI Baseball in hand..

Honestly, this sounds more like a conversation between a mother and son than a husband and wife. I don't need my wife's permission to buy a video game, I just buy it. If she wants to spend $60 on something, she just does it, she doesn't need my permission. Now we do have "fun money" built into our budget, and that's where the money for those things comes from, but we don't need to ask each other first if we're going to dip into the fun money. We will tell each other about it though, so we know how the budget is affected.

Agree $100. I had a wife of 10 years who I needed permission to use the bathroom with. Needless to say we're no longer married...

From what I gathered from his story was that she was asking him what he wanted for a gift, he wasnt asking permission. Sounds like you just wanted a chance to bust someones balls..I see this a lot in here.."I dont ask permission" I dont ask permission either but I dont judge someone else that has an open dialogue with their spouse. Different families have different budgets and priorities. My GF thinks its great I watch the ball game with my baby and play MLBTS with the new born baby sleeping on me...and she does data entry for my roster edits. Its one thing to be proud of how your own situation is and another criticizing how someone else's is.

My 7 yr old son told my wife he wanted to pre order the ps4 version and surprise me with it. He also offered his own money. Now I already have it preordered, but we are going to let him think he ordered it and paid for it. We will sneak his money back in his bank and let him surprise me with it.

My fiance is pregnant and she was telling me the other day about how long april is taking seeing as we find out the gender of our baby on the 30th and we have a family trip planned for the begining of may. I put my two cents in and agreed it was taking forever because baseball for ps4 comes out may 6th. She laughed hysterically for about 20 minutes. Apparently we have different priorities. Lol

Noooo, dont do it lol, seriously, the surprise when it pops out not knowing is the best thing, convince her to hold off and keep the suspense!
