Roger 'bach in Dallas (Cowboys M25)

Yes Roger Staubach, former Cowboys Quarterback has led a group of fellow Dallas businessmen in the purchasing of Jerry Jones' beloved 'Boys. It is believed Jerry sold the cowboys amid problems in his personal life which weren't disclosed. Many Cowboy fans were grateful for what Jerry Jones had brought to Dallas and look forward to more success under this new ownership.

Roger Staubach announced his his first press conference that he looke dforward to the prospect of being involved with the Cowboys once again and said he believes this current roster has Super Bowl winning calibre. It is believed he wants to keep the former undrafted Eastern Illinois Quarterback Tony Romo at the helm despite him only winning one playoff game against what was left of Donovan McNabbs Eagles.

Staubach will act along with his asociates as General Manager until somebody is appointed whilst it is expected that Jason Garrett will remain as Head Coach for this season at the minimum. More to follow.

Also I'm not great with graphics so don't be expecting much! but there will be lots of content for things going on around the league and draft prospects.

Jason Pierre-Paul out for the season

Next up is a season opener at home against the Giants. This is the first game under the new ownership of Roger Staubach and his consortium. Cowboy fan Skip Bayless assessed his teams chances this season with fellow ESPN expert Stephen A. Smith.

Skip had this to say, " Look Stephen A., I know we're stuck with Romo for the near future, the guy has a 6 year contract worth over $100m, I understand Staubach can't do anything about that. What the Cowboys now need to do is build a defense that can support Romo and not leave Romo winning games single handeldly, they need Murray to produce and his wide receivers to put up big numbers. Without that this team will be a .500 team again and that isn't big enough in Dallas. I don't know how Roger intends to manage the draft, whether he looks for a quarterback or not, but what he needs to do is give this team an identity and support the claim that they are "Americas Team".

Poor start of the season for Dallas as they fell 28-21 to the New York Giants. It had been a close game with both quarterbacks throwing picks in the first quarter but Romo found Bryant in the endzone with an 18 yard pass. The Cowboys went in 7-6 up at half-time, a half which was dominated by Anthony Spencer. The left end racked up 5 sacks in total in the game and was piling pressure on Eli throughout the game. The Cowboys went into the 4th quarter 14-6 up after Romo connected with Miles Austin for a touchdown, however two picks from Romo gave New York the iniative and Manning drove his offense throughout the 4th Quarter hitting Reuben Randle for a 64 yard touchdown. A challenge from head coach proved costly at 25-14 to the Giants with 3 minutes on the clock. The call stood and the Cowboys lost a crucial timeout. The Giants got a field goal and now Romo had just 2 minutes to score two touchdowns. Murray took the ball to the endzone leaving Dallas needing an onside kick recovery. They failed to recover the ball and with only two timeouts remaining they could not hold Eli's Giants from stealing a win on the opening weekend of the season. ESPN football expert Skip Bayless tweeted, "Romo flops again and doesn't live up to his mega money contract, the sooner he leaves, the sooner this football teams wins big games".
