There will be an NCAA FOOTBALL game next year (link)

EA SPORTS VP Andrew Wilson said in a statement that the company will continue to make college football games after their contract with the NCAA expires in 2014.

"This is simple: EA Sports will continue to develop and publish college football games, but we will no longer include the NCAA names and marks. Our relationship with the Collegiate Licensing Company is strong and we are already working on a new game for next generation consoles which will launch next year and feature the college teams, leagues and all the innovation fans expect from EA Sports," said Wilson in a statement on EA Sports' website.

C'mon, man. At least check the dates of your sources before stirring up hopes for some of the guys here.

That was from back when there were still plans of making a game...

That article is from when it became known that the NCAA wasn't going to renew their license with EA. At that point, EA was going to continue without the NCAA name but still get the license to the schools. The game was cancelled later when schools and conferences started saying they wouldn't license their properties either.

While I realize the date of the article, please include your source that says this exact game was canceled?

Shouldn't it be your job to make sure the link you posted was accurate?

While current NCAA players fight for their right to make money, a large group of former college football players scored a major victory Thursday.
