Re: cpu pinch hitting decisions
Without knowing their current stats (if in a season mode) or their splits vs. the pitcher (lefty or righty), I don't think anyone can say anything is right or wrong with that move. They were definitely thinking ahead defensively, since Turner is a utility infielder who is primarily 3B.

Re: cpu pinch hitting decisions
I looked up turners contact attribute against righties and its ten points higher. so I guess that why uribe was pinch hit for but in reality uribe doesn't get pinch hit for in that spot.Without knowing their current stats (if in a season mode) or their splits vs. the pitcher (lefty or righty), I don't think anyone can say anything is right or wrong with that move. Re: cpu pinch hitting decisions
also in same game which was scoreless in top of 7th Kershaw has runners on 1st and 3rd no out Kershaw has 84 pitches and cpu takes him out of game. In reality Kershaw would be allowed to at least get out of the jam, unless his pitch count was well over 100 pitches. I hope these cpu team decisions can be fixed in a patch. It takes the fun out of the game when these things happen. Also the cpu pinch running decisions are bad. Like I said I hope these things can be patched. thanks for the imput.Comment

Re: cpu pinch hitting decisions
Another thing that really bugs me is how the CPU will leave the starter in the game well past the 140+ pitch count if he has a large lead in a blowout game. That's been an issue in past MLB games and really needs to be fixed. It sucks seeing a starter pitching really well, only to have his arm practically fall off after 140 pitches, and giving up a 5 spot thanks the the CPU being too "dumb" to remove him.Comment

Re: cpu pinch hitting decisions
The AI on this game has always made poor decisions for late inning adjustments. You will see them bring in a Lefty to PH against Chapman when they have plenty of RH bats ont he bench. IRL that dont happen, its hard enough for a RH'ed hitter to get a hit let along a lefty of of Chapman. SCEA definitely has a ways to go on some of this stuff as it been a problem for ever with this game.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11
Favorite teams:
MLB- Reds/ and whoever is playing the Cubs
NBA- Pacers

Re: cpu pinch hitting decisions
I'm surprised it's that big of a gap between the two, but that's probably enough reason alone to make the move. Again, I don't know what the difference between the players defensively, but they probably didn't lose much there either. In case they had to take the field again.
These situations go back to the fact the game doesn't know who Uribe, Turner or Kershaw is, just their numbers in any given matchup or comparison. You can kind of simulate that with pitcher's situations by manipulating the manager and stamina sliders. Video games (technology as a whole , really) have a ways to go before they can program emotions or sentiment into AI. At some point we'd have to worry about the Skynet lol. Seriously though, no matter how realistic things look, it's still man vs. machine in vs. CPU games... so any victory can be considered beating the mathematical odds. Although it's still more emotional for us humans, by nature.

Re: cpu pinch hitting decisions
Seeing same thing. Wilson Betemit pinch hitting for Evan Longoria
David Lough for Adam Jones
Nolan Reimold for Nelson Cruz
MAKES NO SENSE!?!?Comment
