So what do you think we will see hear at E3 about NHL next gen? What are you hopes for NHL next gen at E3 this year?

I hope we get to see gameplay, along with the new NHL on NBC presentation along with hearing some of the commentary and seeing to see if the same goals scored on goalies go in etc.

Definitely we will see gameplay (hopefully celebrations included in that too). Not sure if they will have any of the announcing unless they have some for the gameplay trailer that will be releasing later today.

I know it's odd, but it's probably one of the top non-gameplay items on my list.
The reason being is that the after-goal celebrations are so unrealistic, it kind of takes you out of the game.

NHL2K3 had it. Is it really that hard to program?

But I can overlook a lack of team celebrations if the AI is tight.
I really want EA to give me a reason to play 10+ seasons in GM mode.
IMO, there's no sense in playing anything other than "Play Now" games because all teams and players play the same.

It's not the highest thing on my list, but I would like to see it as well. I think this point you mentioned, combined with the fact that they actually had the 5 man celebrations in this series for 1 year (NHL 11 I think?) and then it randomly disappeared are at least partially why people are so focused on it.

It just takes me out of the game. When everyone just puts their hands up and my guy just starts riding his stick like a magic broom into the goalie and they both play out animations independent of what's happening...it just looks terrible to me.

If they do it right, like during playoffs you see everyone attack the goal scorer. Not wanting some guy jumping into the glass while the d-men are stick riding...errr that came out wrong but you get the idea.

This is why sports titles never fix their glaring issues. Because the fans complain more about the celebrations than they do about the actual flaws in the gamplay

Today is the first official day of E3, where people can get their hands on games. If it's available to play, it would have just started happening now.
