How can someone thing superstar mode is fun?

I just started superstar mode as a HB and come to find out the team does the same 4-5 plays on offense throughout the whole game. how can someone think that is fun?

I just realized this game mode is basically NCAA football's road to glory mode with a different name

^ from what I remember, Road to Glory is light years better than Madden's mode. Right now superstar mode is just like playing franchise but only controlling one player during the game. You can make a bunch of audibles and everything. I always want to play it because these game modes are really fun in NCAA football and NBA 2K, but Madden just entirely drops the ball.

It's terrible. No matter what position you play. Coaching sucks. If you are the qb they'll call the same garbage plays anf and you are stick audibling out time and time again. They should take it out and use the resources for something better. ..like draft picks who's name the announcers can actually say. By season 3 it's #85 makes the catch. #93 sacks the qb....fingers crossed for m15.

I actually enjoyed superstar mode in Madden 08. You only had to focus on the controls and play of one person. And if you played well enough, you could bump up not only your stats, but the stats of those around you as well.

And it's not realistic for a rookie, fresh out of college ball, to be leading the team. Yes, it's kind of annoying to see a player mess up something you believe you could have done something about if you were on the field, but that's the realism of being a cog in a machine.

You have to remember that Madden is aiming for realism, and realism doesn't always give you what you want.
