RTTS: Did you get called up to the Show too soon?

My SP was drafted 6th overall by the Mariners, and after 7 starts in AA was called straight up to Seattle (skipping AAA) and plugged right into the starting rotation. He was 5-1 with a 1.75 ERA, 61 Ks, and a 0.80 WHIP in 51.1 innings in AA so he was dealing, but it bugged me going straight up to the majors after so few starts. I realize the goal is getting to the majors, but I enjoy the journey and selfishly I wanted to keep dealing in the minors to build up the attributes quickly.

Has anyone experienced something like that? Is it a glitch? Or is the Mariners rotation just that bad? lol

My Marlins pitcher wasn't called up quite that fast, but he also skipped AA and landed on the major league club after a few good months in AA.

And since I'm playing a Marlins franchise...their pitching is that bad lol.

After all, irl the Marlins fast-tracked Andrew Heaney (and I did the same in my franchise). They need help behind their ace young stud.

Maybe the Mariners think your player could help. Perhaps some injuries, etc.

Despite the fact my RTTS 2nd baseman who was originally a shortstop and was drafted 15th overall by the Phillies was hitless in first 14 at bats in the Majors, which was in 2015, and also had an 0-18 streak that same season. He was not called up to early, because he ended the season with a .276 Batting Average, 25 Home Runs, 55 RBIs, and won the NL Rookie of the Year. He made it to the MLB in 2015 because he put up some pretty good numbers in AAA that same season. He did not play in AA that season, because he posted incredible numbers in AA in 2014.

If anything this simulates real life. Teams will do that sometimes when they're really desperate. And the Mariners are really desperate.

The Twins just called up a player from High A ball so I guess it does happen

In what world are the Mariners desperate?

            AL ranks..

            1st in ERA
            1st in BAA
            1st in WHIP

Even if his player was a TOP prospect, he'd be behind 3-4 pitchers in the minors
            NFL-Chicago Bears & Seattle Seahawks
MLB- Chicago Cubs & Seattle Mariners
NBA- Portland Trail Blazers & Chicago Bulls

            Soccer- Timbers & Everton

The M's are still behind the Athletics right? And you don't think signing Cano for that much money wasn't a bit desperate?
