What Ever Happened To THIS?
 

Everything we ever asked for in terms of interaction between WR/DB was demo'd 4-5 years ago......What happened to it?

That top clip of the CB shadowing the WR on the double move is BEAUTIFUL...if they applied that logic to the current player models and used THAT locomotion to drive it, we'd have a solid foundation to build on. It makes me sad to see that clip (I remember it from back in 2009 when it was being discussed here and Ian had an account at OS for that stuff) when I realize that if I were to run that side-by-side with the way my defenders cover out routes and corner in M25, I'd probably eject the disc and snap it in half.

That's one of the features that got blogged about but didn't make the final version of the game.

Damn! I remember this being talked about. What happened to it then, and why has it not been implemented yet? Was it a part of the Pro-Tak engine Ian was working on?

defenders were over-running their routes/assignments due to flawed locomotion...they couldnt figure how to fix it

They scrapped it for an improved MUT.
