    New XBOX Edited Roster

I've been in the lab trying to revitalize this great game with special ratings using Fynn's Editor and wanted to share my latest version.

My goal is to make a balanced game with nice running and passing on the offensive side of the ball and defense more realistic without being too overpowering. The kick return game is much more fun as well, where taking it to the house is a possibility.

I'm still tinkering, but thought it would be worth sharing for anyone who still sees potential in this game. And I believe Fynn's editor allows for this dream to come true.

Please download them and post your game stats and opinions.

Below are the ratings which I feel create solid gameplay...

    ************ EDITED 06/29 ************
K > 89-64 > 99-74 > 41-29 > 69-51 (Kicking was too short; now the ball lands around 1 yrd line to endzone for perfect kick)
    P > 91-60 > 95-70 > 65-30 > 63-48 (Punting short as well; looking for 50 yds max here)
LB > 58-40 > 67-38 > 41-29 > 42-30 (LB's were sacking too easily due to speed. Lowered speed and strength to fix this issue)

I'm having a blast with these rosters. No more issues with running, interceptions, or dropped passes.

CRAZY to see nobody plays this game anymore based on 0 replies from my thread.

I'll try and give these a shot. I'm going to try and get use to playing some Backbreaker because I never really took the time to learn. Hopefully these will help my experience.

Is there even anyone online to play against period? I have the game and to be honest, the release of BB was the last time I was really wowed by a new gameplay experience in a football game...even the "progress" that's been made by Madden in the last 5 years (and now on a new generation of hardware too) has failed to recapture that "WOW" feeling of playing BackBreaker (warts and all)...

I was thinking of dusting off the XB360 and firing this up over the weekend since there is no NCAA release to sate my appetite for "new" football games!

There are people who are still playing this game online. Mostly on xbox live. I have a youtube video that lists current players who are playing backbreaker online right now.

It takes time to learn backbreaker but its worth it. The type of things that happen in this game is amazing.

                Re: New XBOX Edited Roster

Thanks! I'll check these rosters out and I'll give you my feedback.

My experience with backbreaker is this: QBs with high focus ratings throw the ball too quickly making it easier for them to be baited into INTs.

Lowering speeds does help a lot but star players need to stand out.

offensive lineman with 60 speed get upfield better to create more dynamic run and screen plays.

strength will control how often a player fumbles so be mindful. strength for qbs are almost irrelevant since the greathouse patch except for trucking and not fumbling. You wont really notice a difference with his arm.

Form affects how a player will play, so a player with 90 speed can feel like 80-85 speed if his form is down.

Hey how are you getting Fynn's editor to work? If I make a change to my rosters, even altering an attribute by a single point, the save fails to load. I'm using modio to inject the saves if that matters.

I have been using the editor just fine and i have also been using Modio. I would uninstall it and delete it all together and then reload the file and see if any names etc are missing.

Two questions. Is this for pre patch? Also, will this adjust the in game rosters or are there teams included on this save file?

These work with the latest patch and the file is a full NFL roster.

Did you ever get a chance to test these rosters? I've been watching your vids on YouTube lately. Good stuff!

I tried your 360 15 rosters last night and the gameplay was not near what your vids showed off. The running game and catching were suspect.

I'm playing around with the idea of getting back into this game and would love to hear more on your experience.
