Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 Hands-On Impressions (IGN, CVG)

IGN and CVG have both posted their hands-on impressions of PES 2015.
In truth, the lofted through-ball does feel slightly overpowered at present. Some of that may be down to Pirlo’s natural ability, but I also managed to pull off the same trick with Arturo Vidal and even Darren Fletcher when playing as United. Goalkeepers seem to have taken a leaf out of Manuel Neuer’s book, acting as ‘sweeper keepers’ and rushing out to punt loose balls upfield, theoretically preventing players from relying on long chipped passes between the centre backs. But it still became an all-too-useful fallback in the later games when I wasn’t getting any joy elsewhere.

When PES was good there weren't any licenses - it was Man Red vs. Man Blue - but the gameplay was amazing and you'd tell your mates about it. That's what we want to recapture and get people believing in us again.

Those lofted through balls won't be a problem with all manual settings.

Sounds like there's still stuff that needs to get cleaned up with this new engine. Hopefully they get things right in time for release.

Sounds good. I enjoyed 2014, with a few Patch tweaks here and there, so l'm looking forward to this.
