    How do you play franchise?

What I mean is, do you play one game each series, or the 13524 method? I've tred playing every game, but so far the farthest I've made it is mid-May. Once the final OSFM roster comes out, I'll try again. Just an interesting question I asked myself the other day.

I'm starting one with the Indians. Gonna sim til the ASB then play every game til the deadline to see who i can pitch and hit with, make trades then if outta the race probably just play sparingly til end of season then every game in 2015 season and one until Madden comes out then maybe 1 game a series

That's awesome! I can't wait for the final OSFM roster to come out so I can do the same.

you are an inspiration. I want to do this so bad, but I don't think I would be able to. I might start at the ASB like Phanatic said.

I have two franchises. I have one with my favorite team, the Braves, where I play every game with quick counts. I have played through a full season and am almost done with April of my 2nd season. I also have a franchise with the White Sox where I sim every game. I think it's 2021 in that franchise.

In 3 games series' i usually run the first 2. If i win the first 2 i sim the third. If we split i play the rubber match. In the 4 gamers, i'll play the first 2 and if i win both i'll sim the next two. Serves pretty well, i've made it to mid June.

I have a Cubs franchise, close to the deadline in season 2. Ive somehow managed to play every game, In season one I was about to give up once I was 15 game out, but I decided I wanted to try not to lose 100 games (I failed), the second season Im actually in the thick of it so i keeps me into it. My problem is that after I ge to far ahead in a division or too far behind I used to lose interest without a challenge so, If i ever turn the Cubs into a power house Ill probably start simming, or start a new franchise.

I have never simmed a game in the show ever. played every single game. on years past that included nearly two full seasons with the Tigers, two with the Padres, 1.5 with the Mariners and almost done with one with the mets. I have an A's fantasy draft franchise too.

I don't understand why you'd want to sim. takes the beauty away. baseball is playing every day.

Re: How do you play franchise?

I started my Cubs franchise playing 1, simming 5. I'm now in 2017, and this season and the 2016 season I've alternated playing 1, simming 4 and playing 1, simming 3 just to get a few more games in as I was speeding through a bit.

@Bacong, I personally sim so I can get further along in my franchise and see my MiLB players develop into MLB players. There's no way I could get 4+ seasons in playing every game.

I play one game every series and I play a minor league game at least once a month to get an idea of how that's going. While I love the game I like the GM aspect of the game a bunch and find that this process keeps me from burning out on the game as quick as I have in the past. More power to anyone that plays every game though.

Re: How do you play franchise?

I play all 162, 7 more games and I would've completed a a full season. QC has been a godsend, not only do I get to play a whole season, I also issue walks and take walks at reasonable levels.

Ill never understand the reasoning behind simming. Seeing my players develop gives me more incentive to get games in, so I can see what they turn out to be. Odd side story. My old roommate in college would buy games and never play them, he would just sim, sim, sim constantly. I told him he should just play fantasy sports, years later, he quit his job and makes a nice living playing Daily Fantasy Sports.

I play every single game. I really enjoy playing The Show, to me it's a ton of fun. Also I HATE not having a say in how my team performs. It drives me mad. Also the OSFM rosters that come out in April.. are they good enough to use, or should I wait for the final version? This year I didn't use them and I was already too far into the season when I realized they were available. Stupid me.

I play every game every year. This year I am doing a double franchise with the Rays and Phillies playing every game for both teams.
