A little over a month out from release, and some people can't seem to behave themselves.

Let me reiterate what is expected out of you, the OS user:

Do not, under any circumstance, attack a user or guest of OS. That INCLUDES staff, game developers, and regular users. You may question (CONSTRUCTIVELY) an opinion. But if you attack the user (includes name calling and calling them a liar) you will be banned.

Bans will come very swiftly. We don't like doing it, but it is an unfortunate necessity of a large number of vocal minority who just seem hell bent on making this place as negative as possible.

This thread will remain open (as always) for feedback. And before you become the first poster to mention, your first amendment right doesn't apply on a privately owned forum.

Also, please keep in mind - we don't allow multiple usernames at OS. That also means if you get banned, we can and will ban you again just for creating another username to post.

This year seems to be better in terms of not near as many closed threads and banned posters.

all you can ask is to be treated equally and respectfully, i never understand why people can get so worked up about a forum. i do understand about getting excited about the release though

Madden is definitely a polarizing topic. Since it's the only NFL game, expectations are always going to be high. Combine that with Madden's long history and fan base, it may be impossible for then to satisfy everybody.

I am a huge supporter, but I can understand the frustrations that others share. There is a fine line between a constructive discussion on what can improve the game, and unhealthy nonproductive banter.

I feel like the forum is more positive right now than it has been in years. The improved graphics along with some interesting things shown in that developer stream seem to have some people, including myself, a little more hyped than normal.

I expect a flawed game, as usual, but I also expect some pretty nice improvements finally. Hopefully the forum remains relatively sane.

I understand what you are saying but the message is that the forum doesn't need to be positive, it just needs to be a respectful discussion.

People on both sides have issues with this and it's pathetic.

One more update -

This is the Xbox One/PS4 forum. If you haven't played the current gen console versions of this game, then you may ask questions but gameplay impressions should be taken to the forum under this one. You have no place commenting on something and making it seem like it's based on what you've actually had hands on of.

Madden used to be an annual event for my brothers and I. We'd grab a copy and start up a 3 team franchise and fight for supremacy for hours. Sadly cfm killed that and most of my interest in the game. I love football though so I always have a little hope deep down inside, but it's sad how many games are trending towards "sit in your room and play alone or play while speaking through a headset". Here's hoping I'm pleasantly surprised.
