Re: Looking to pick up old ps3 2k
There are 2 camps on this one.
NHL 2K8 and NHL 2K10.
I would recommend 2K10. It plays a fantastic game, and I also have a set of updated rosters available. -
Re: Looking to pick up old ps3 2k
If I'm not mistaken, NHL 2k8 didn't get patched on the PS3 and it was a pretty critical patch to make the game playable. Somebody with a little more knowledge than I do can probably confirm or deny that but I'm pretty sure that's the case. I know for sure both 2k8 and 2k10 were both patched on 360.NHL-Minnesota Wild

I see the merit of 2K8, but without a skill stick (button for shooting instead), I think it loses something. I don't know if rosters are still being made for K8, but they are for K10.
Also, I don't know if K8 utilizes the team strategy you pick for the cpu, but it does for K10.Comment

Re: Looking to pick up old ps3 2k
The a.i. in 2k10 overall is just better. I always have to play EA, then 2k8 to appreciate the greatness of 2k10. If they could have gotten the puck handling, puck physics, and skating from 8 into 10, I believe 2k15 on PS4 would be a reality. In fact, since I still play 2k10 over any other hockey game, I think they could still get some sales with a new title. Wishful thinking.I see the merit of 2K8, but without a skill stick (button for shooting instead), I think it loses something. The passing from 2k8 too.Comment
