I Just Pitch and I Never Hit .... Am I the only one who does this ?

Hello Friends -

Although this year I may use Player Lock and start and RTTS - I never hit and I just PITCH in my franchise. I have been doing this for years-and-years. I use Classic control on All-Star level.

Hitting can be frustrating. Wondering what ya'll think of this ?

Do I need to go to therapy over this *Akward Obsession* ?



For this reason, I think that I could assist those who are concerned about their human pitch sliders and cpu hitting sliders.

Nope....I do that when I play games as well.
Only pitch with player lock.

I only bat and rarely pitch only in big games

Nah I like full control of the game, but computer controlling fielding (manual throw) and baserunning. I'm amazed with ppl who pitches only. I find it boring. Had a SP for RTTS and I felt it was very repetive. If I ever pitch, it'll only be as a CP

You're not alone. Can't remember when I started only pitching, but it's been a few seasons. Funny thing is, now I can't even remember why I'd have stopped hitting, unless it was either out of frustration or boredom.

Actually made the mistake of selecting the Cubs in my latest RTTS instead of entering the draft and am now not only getting multiple at-bats/game, but am also getting to enjoy being yanked while pitching a shutout in the sixth with only 65 pitches thrown.

I actually have a system I use on most occasions during my Franchise Mode.

I have 3-4 pitchers I really enjoy using in my rotation now. I will start each game with them and as soon as the opposing team scores a run and takes away a shutout (or I lose a no-hit/perfect game bid) I will either sim to my at-bat OR to the 7th/8th inning. I feel like this gives me a better result of losing more games than I might if I were to keep control of my pitcher and sometimes even my batters for a few innings.

That said, I am currently getting close to winning my 90th game with the Indians - so maybe I am delusional?

Not a bad Idea and maybe I should do the same. The ball seems to get heavier year after year and hitting is getting more frustrating than ever !
