Does the coaching tree to make the game play better? Both for you and the AI?

The coaching tree heavily affects the game, both for you and the AI opponent. Whether or not that makes the game "better" is a matter of opinion.

I agree with peacefrog, playing "better" is ones own opinion. For me it makes the game play different. In my current dynasty I am 10 seasons in. I have had high and low level coaches on my staff. It does make an impact on gameplay but how much is hard to say. The game still requires you to recruit players that fit the system you run, and play smarter then the cpu to win.


Currently my DC is only a level 10 but my defense is #1 in total defense because I have recruited well and it is a 97ovr. The skills he provides impacts the game but not to the point I have an unfair advantage. The skill tree just provides boost but even then players will still play a certain way unless you use sliders or mess with current play level.
