Will Sean Payton be in Madden 15?

He hasn't been in since bounty gate but he was in every year before that, which shows that he obviously welcomes being in the game, unlike Belichick. Hell, Payton often talks about his son constantly playing Madden. I use the Saints 98% of the time and it sucks not seeing him on the sideline.

Sorry if this wasn't thread worthy, and some of you may just say to be patient and see in 2 weeks, but my curiosity is getting the best of me.

Wasn't he kicked out of the Head Coach's association after that? The reason they don't get BB is because he isn't in their union, that may be the same for Payton.

Would seem stupid not to have him, he is back in the NFL now and therefore should have him in the game.

Not if he's not a part of the Coaches' Association, as zmonkey said.

They have no choice if he isn't in the coaches association. This isn't and never has been an EA decision nor does it have to do with a coaches "desire" to be in the game.

They have no choice if he isn't in the coaches association. This isn't and never has been an EA decision nor does it have to do with a coaches "desire" to be in the game.

I refuse to believe there isn't a potential solution to this issue waiting to be found. The NFLCA would allow some workaround for Madden. It's in the interest of the league. I'd like to believe someone at EA Sports is making an effort to address this.

The problem if he's not in the NFLCA is the same problem they would have with BB. Negotiating separate, one off contracts sets a dangerous president. It would mean that other coaches could drop out of the NFLCA and tell EA that the only way for them to be in the game is to pay them more than X coach, etc etc etc.

So if he's not in the NFLCA then there isn't any incentive for EA to negotiate with him.

You can refuse to believe all you want. It's nowhere near as easy as you seem to think it is.

If it were, Barry Bonds would have been in every baseball game instead of being replaced as Reggie Stocker.

At what cost? Why pay extra when they already have to pay to get the existing coaches association into the game.

I provided an example a previous player who actually impacts the actual gameplay itself. Why would we want them to exonerate a crazy amount of cash for two coaches that don't affect gameplay at all?

I for one would prefer that money to go into the game development.

This discussion fits right in with a question that just popped in my head a little earlier tonight, why can't we edit existing coaches and coaching staff in Madden CFM? The question came to me after thinking about those M15 CFM screens with fake coordinators and positions coaches, just seems like User customization is the way to go, whenever possible.

This. In order for them to secure the rights to individual coaches/players who aren't in the union they would have to sign deals with each one of them individually. Being that Payton and Belichick are two of the most well known coaches in the game that will be a hefty price tag. Much easier to just make Chuck Masters and call it a day.

Don't know if it's in this years game but last year I used game face to re-create Belichick. Google Images had all the pictures needed. Not a perfect solution but it works for those who want to use their favorite coach.
