I've tried different combos, he'll either run parallel to the LOS or just stop completely. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Out Route Problem- Help Please
Having an issue with out patterns in the game. Whenever I throw to my WR, it seems that no matter what I try and do after the catch is made that I am unable to keep my WR from running straight to the sideline.

If it's the short side I'm going to I pretty much know it will be a catch and out of bound....if my receiver is going 100% I expect this and I like that they don't turn on a dime this year....if there is a speed advantage on the opposite side I've had plenty of success catching it and turning up the field, also if I'm trying for the first down of course I'll do the smart route on the short side as wellOnly the truest Buffalonians know what it is to stick with your hometown teams. Short side of the field it's to be expected, so I usually try to run outs to the open side.Comment

Re: Out Route Problem- Help Please
I have the same problem anytime I'm running parallel to the LOS. Even when it's a drag and I hit the WR in the middle of the field, once I hit up to start running upfield, my WR either stops completely before turning, or he does some weird move where he ends up going a step or two back first and coming to a stop before turning upfield. I understand not wanting guys to turn on a dime, but this is a little extreme.Comment

That one is a weird animation glitch. You have to let the catch animation play out and then take control. It sucks but if you can teach yourself one more second of patience you'll see see a smoother transition.I have the same problem anytime I'm running parallel to the LOS. I appreciate all the responses. I'll see if anything with the precision modifier will help, and if perhaps gradual changes in the left directional stick will play out the animation a little smoother.Comment

Re: Out Route Problem- Help Please
Have you tried to lead the route back towards the field? To kinda underthrow it? If, of course, you have space between you and defender.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives

Re: Out Route Problem- Help Please
This is a product of the controlled player having too much weight and momentum. Its why the running game feels so heavy and clunky. You can thank everyone complaining about the "arcade like feel." Unfortunately now you have to come to a complete stop, reset, regroup, and restart if you'd like to change directions. Unfortunately there is no middle ground. Everyone now has the start-stop-cutback ability of an OG."640k ought to be enough for anybody." - Bill Gates, 1981Comment
