is this the rams last season in st louis?

i kind of get the feeling this could be it. would they play in the rose bowl until a new stadium gets done? is it possible they move out under the cover of darkness ala the balitomre colts in 1984?

It's possible. The owner never, ever talks to the fans. The team is in one of the worst runs in NFL history and in fact set a record for futility with a 15-65 record over a 5 year span. The local politicians are completely ineffectual and even when they have reached out to the owner, he has not returned their calls.

Perhaps most important is the fact that the EJ Dome will not be paid off for 5 more years so getting any public financing for a new stadium is a non-starter. No one wants to use public funds to help a guy worth about $5 billion dollars build a stadium, especially given the pathetic product that has been on the field for the last 10 years. Fans here are passionate but really fed up; the complete silence about the future of the team in St. Louis has many, many fans bitter and is keeping people away in droves. It really sucks and is quite depressing. That's why I was so happy for Buffalo fans with the news that the Bills were staying. No city should have to go through losing a team and we may be about to go through it a second time thanks to completely apathetic ownership both times.

      kinda off topic...

but i've often wondered how they would've fared had they kept Warner.

I am sure the owner would like to move back...LA is a bigger market, and the division rivalries would be a little more "relevant" since the team would be closer to SF, Seattle, and Arizona.

It then makes St. Louis a nice landing pad for the Jags if they move...and their geographical relationship to the other AFC South teams would improve.

Just ditch those helmets. Seriously...i don't have polite adjectives to describe them.

the rose bowl is a dump, no way a NFL team plays there even temporarily

Jags also aren't moving with all the money invested. If for some reason they didn't it wouldn't be to St Louis.

I hope they don't move back to LA. I don't root for California teams, and I would hate to have to find a new team.

They belong here in LA. I'm not saying I'd stop being a Raider fan to support them, but it'd be nice to see them back.

Jags won't be moving, at least for a long time. Khan has put a lot of money into the team and stadium and as a show of good faith also moved his business interests to the area. And the lease goes through 2030.

If only he had gotten the Rams when he put in his offer for them. He was a Rams' season ticket holder and a very passionate fan. The Rams future in St. Louis would have been secure. Instead Kroenke used his right of first refusal to buy the team and now when have an aloof *** of an owner who cares nothing about the team or it's fans and only about becoming even more filthy rich than he already is. Thanks, Stan.

              It's really hard to stomach.

I'm thinking it is. My mom lives there and was able to get an opening day ticket last week for 5 bucks! That just ain't right

Well money talks, and it's no secret the NFL wants a team in LA. Seems like most of the money making potential in the market is to be had there.

Looks like the Rams are going back.

The belong in L.A. stupid to have them in St. Louis. Another dumb move by Georgia Frontierre.

If they needed a temp home, Rose Bowl or Coliseum would be available. However, no one has any idea where a stadium could be built in the LA basin nor who would pay for it, so I don't see LA as being viable any time in the near future.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.
