Can't challenge plays

I'm in my online franchise and have tried to challenge a few plays from the pause menu. Each time I do it, it tells me there's nothing to challenge. What gives? Anyone else with this issue?

Need more details. The game will booth review TD's, turnovers and anything inside the two minute warning - it won't let you challenge those. That said, there are times when it gets this wrong and doesn't review something it should, and unfortunately there's no recourse for that.

Any time other than those you should be able to use the pause menu.

Just regular plays. Like last game a pass to my TE on the sideline. It was called incomplete but I know he got his feet down. Went to the pause menu and there was a lock over challenge plays and it said there is nothing to challenge.

If you cant review something then it means the game would stick with it ruling even if you could review it.

I have experienced the same issue. The challenge system is very frustrating.

Terrible system they have.... Obvious/blatant reversible calls that I cant challenge just takes the immersion out of the game for me. Seems pointless to even have it considering how many times they dont allow you to challenge anything. Guy doesn't even get a single foot inbounds and it wont allow you to challenge, makes sense...

The only time that I have had this particular issue, is when the "Booth" calls for a review... which tells me that I am going to win that review/challenge...

I don't know if this is still true, but I remember when the challenge system was implemented that if you decided to look at the replay it removes the opportunity to challenge. Just curious, before trying to challenge, did you view the replay manually?

In my experience this year you can still watch the replay and challenge, I've done it a couple of times. But I didn't win those challenges when from watching the replay I obviously should have.

Can't challenge plays

I've had several issues with challenges in offline franchises. Many times I see a call where it will easily be reversed but it is impossible to challenge. It just says there is nothing to challenge. Note this happens way before I am near the 2 minute mark and I don't watch replays.

Other times within 2 minutes on plays the booth should review they rarely do. Pretty frustrating

One more thing. I've also had instances where the game forces me to challenge automatically. Always on pointless plays where I would never challenge. To make it worse I always lose those so basically the game steals a timeout from me. Quite ridiculous

I've seen it happen and my guess is that they believe he got both feet down clearly though your actual replay may show otherwise, which can be frustrating, but I actually have seen the CPU challenge and they lost so I like that aspect of it.

To me this is the glitchiest madden I've ever played IMHO. This game constantly repeats the same scenarios over and over again. I can't count how many times I have a kick return at the 24, and to make matters worse....the way Jim Nants says 24 really gets under my skin. lol

The game loves to give you 2nd and 1, 3rd and 1, 4th and 1 or inches. Players seem unable or unwillingly to get the ball or over the first down marker. They removed the chain gang which is stupid, because I think you should be able to ask for a measurement. The spot of the ball is off way too much, and I have clearly gotten over the goal line and sacks in the end zone for safeties, that ended up being short at the 1.

Challenges...... forget it. I've tried countless times to challenge the above and never works. The for sure way I win those are if they are called from the booth or the obvious non fumble that happens a lot too.

the only time I was able to challenge a play was the spot of the ball on the goal line in the franchise mode. the game needs an update.
