I'm upset, months ago I agreed to play in a golf tournament on Friday (out of town) and it turns out it's my college's homecoming so a bunch of guys from my baseball team that I haven't seen in years are going to be there so I have to stay Saturday as well. Had no idea it was Rider Cup week.

Will be driving back Sunday so if anything I'll be able to watch Friday morning but probably nothing on Saturday or Sunday.

Two years ago, this thread was great. I had just lost a baby that was due in three months and it was the lowest point of my life. It was the same time as the Ryder cup and I watched that tournament in a bit of a daze, but this thread was basically the only communication I had with anybody except my wife and a few close friends and family members.

This weekend I'll be watching while holding my six month old daughter and rooting for America to somehow take this one. Can't wait!

I've liked some guys for a while but never watched nor followed golf really.

I've found myself taking a liking to Tiger, Rory, Phil, Bubba, Furyk, Delaet (I'm CanadIan so I have to), Fowler, and Rose to name a few.

Big win for Phil and Keegan. Rory and Sergio gave away the half point on the 18th.

2.5-1.5 USA after the first matches.

I would love to sit down and watch the afternoon matchups, but I have a tee time to make.

Welcome to the being a fan of the greatest sport in the world! :-) I'm a big Delaet fan myself, and I'm hoping he has a great 2015 and beyond. I love the playoff beard he always gets going! You'll definitely enjoy The President's Cup next year too.

As far as this Ryder Cup is concerned, it started about the way I expected. The Americans probably stole a point or point and a half this morning, and we probably let a point or point and a half get away in the afternoon session. As far as how everyone played, 5 to 3 is probably about right. As someone else stated, I'd love to have Dustin Johnson on this team. But that's just part of it.

I fully expect to see Reed/Spieth and Walker/Fowler again in the morning four ball. I'm not sure what the other teams will look like now that Mickelson isn't playing, but I'd probably stick Watson with either Furyk or Kuchar to see how that goes. And I'd probably stick Furyk or Kuchar with Mahan. It's going to be interesting, but The US definitely needs to shake things up a bit.

The Europeans probably won't keep Sergio/Rory together, but I'm sure they'll both be out in the morning. They won't change much I'm guessing because there isn't a reason to. Rose/Stenson will probably keep going until they lose.

In this long stretch of Euro dominance the one thing you can count on is them kicking the crap out of us on the back nine in the singles. We crumble, they step up in almost every key match.
