No Practice Mode?

Figured this could have it's own thread. If it is truly a bug (I really hope it is), this will give it a little more visibility.

I'd be really bummed if they took out the practice mode.

As it stands, (I'm on XB1) I can only enter the arena, and do 1v1 with a player and a keeper. The only option appears to be hitting start to change sides to the keeper. I don't see any way to enter practice "mode", where you can practice set pieces, or do a match with however many players you want on either side.

Hopefully somebody in the know sees this and provides some info!

When you go to EA help and talk to support they say they will forward things to the devs. Could be and most likely is smoke blown up your a$$...

One thing I want to practice.

The new FK system. I am getting these 40 yard out or way off to the left or right of goal FK opportunities and I want to use the new targeting and battle system but I would like to practice it a bit instead of being thrown in the fire of a match and trying to work something up on the fly.

Previously to enter practice mode is pressing select in the arena and then the practice menu comes up. Have you tried it?

Yes, nothing happens when you hit select. It just changes the song that is playing.

I think you're supposed to hit start for that menu.

Start just brings up "switch sides" (where you can control the goalie and go 1v1 with a shooter), and "exit"

You can press any button you want any amount of times. Nothing gets to the "submenu" for practice mode where you can practice the correct way, on the pitch, from your camera angle, vs 1-11 cpu opponents with both teams in their practice bibs.

This was also a nice way to try out a team you weren't familiar with.

I firmly believe its on the disc. We just can't access it.

This is what it looked like in NG 14.

There is zero reason for EA to cut this out. Zero. It worked and it worked fine.

All they have done here is turned off the "start" button bringing up the practice menu. I believe this 100%.

And to make matters worse, instead of having it gone like it is now in 15 I so wanted them to add this to CM mode and then have some sort of XP system for your players.

So you could, you know, umm...train.

Hope it gets a response. I need to practice manual shooting in the worst way. I can do it some games and other games I'm missing way wide. Only problem I have with all manual settings really is figuring out how to aim my shots. Obviously you can practice in the arena but since the camera angle is different it's worthless.

yeah haven't owned fifa since 12 and my manual passing and shooting is way off. need to get this practice back in there

Apparently the practice mode 11vs11 is supposed to be under the "Learn to play" menu, problem is that (at least on PS4) I can't find that menu anywhere, my friend has PS3 version and he says he can see that menu...

This is the very first FIFA title I've ever owned, so obviously, I really needed this feature. Not learning a whole lot with 1 on 1 and that camera angle. Just been playing regular matches, but it's kind of hard to slow down and learn things that way. Hope this gets patched in and soon.
