HDTV quality on ESPN Football question
Hey I thought I saw a thread about getting high resolution HDTV quality while playing ESPN if you had an HDTV set.
I normally ignored reading those threads simply because I never had an HDTV. Now I do and would like to know any information about getting HDTV on your ESPN Football game. I tried looking it up on the search engine, but had no luck. Any help is nice. Thanks |
Re: HDTV quality on ESPN Football question
I have the XBox version. It's a great picture, and as the box says, it's in HDTV 720P.

Re: HDTV quality on ESPN Football question
It's 480 not the 720p as advertised. ESPN's website (forum's FAQ section):
Q> Does ESPN NFL Football on Xbox support HDTV 720p mode? A> ESPN NFL Football supports HDTV 480p, not 720p. The packaging incorrectly states that 720p is supported. |
Re: HDTV quality on ESPN Football question
actually i meant for the PS2.

Re: HDTV quality on ESPN Football question
I have a 46" Hitachi Widescreen Projection TV. My ESPN NFL Footbal (NFL2k4) does not look all that nice on it. I know my TV is HDTV integrated, but the picture is not near as nice as on my 27" RCA CRT. The game is hooked up via standard AV Cables. What kind of cables or adjustments do I need to do in order to get the best picture quality out of my set during NFL2k4? Also, does anybody know if NFL2k5 is going to be 1080i to really push the Hi-Def envelope?

Re: HDTV quality on ESPN Football question
you need the hidef component cables. best buy and other stores have them for both xbox and ps2. ps2 only goes up to 480.
