My Career: You dont earn ANY vc when u simulate??
Just finished my 10 day contract and was signed for the rest of the season. So i simulated the next couple of games but received no VC. Every game does have a VC amount listed on it in Calendar, but when i sim my VC doesnt go up? I figured simming games would earn you the minimum amount but NONE?Tags: None -

Because VC is your player's salary, and your player still plays in simmed games, so he should still get his salary. You should lose out on the bonuses, but not the salary.Comment

Nah its all good. Because ok the listed VC amount on the game, i thought that by simming you'd at least earn that amount, kind of like a "salary" per game, a minimum amount of VC per game when you sim it.Comment

lol you know how many people would abuse that? Someone would just sim get the VC then use the VC on MyTeam or something lolLast edited by Dmanning2; 10-13-2014, 12:31 PM.Comment

Re: My Career: You dont earn ANY vc when u simulate??
It costs about 40k VC to push your stats all the way up in ONE category, maybe more. Your starting salary is very low, so you're only averaging about 200 VC per game.
200 x 82 = 16,400
You'd be subject to a lower second contract because of sim'd stats. Using your "abuse" method, people would have to sim for a full career only to wind up with a player with no badges and severe attribute caps. Attribute slots unlock as you play better.
I've through the first season(which starts late January for your MyPlayer) and I'm already rated an 80 with several badges and attribute slots added.
Simming would not be an advantage if people got their salaries. They'd still have to play enough to earn badges and get better contracts. For the most advantage, you'd want to buy a bunch of VC and play every single game, but even then you're talking about spending 20-50 bucks for what you could get for just playing a season and still having to play a season anyway.Comment

Then everyone would play mycareer and Sim season after season while earning free unlimited VC , why would people buy VC then? From 2k POV#SIMNATION

People would just sim season after season, delete the player and repeat the process. Once they have accumulated enough VC they will use it in the mode of their choosing. That would be abuse. It costs about 40k VC to push your stats all the way up in ONE category, maybe more. Your starting salary is very low, so you're only averaging about 200 VC per game.

Re: My Career: You dont earn ANY vc when u simulate??
Let's be real, in an ideal world you should still get currency to upgrade your player after simming, but you don't because of the decision to use one universal currency for each mode.
This decision ends up hurting the player in many small ways such as this oneComment

Re: My Career: You dont earn ANY vc when u simulate??
Maybe add a side currency to the MyCareer mode for next year so you can earn it from simming as well?
Either way I think simming should give some kind of bonus.Comment

Re: My Career: You dont earn ANY vc when u simulate??
Thats all im saying. I totally get the added incentive for actually playing the games, but a minimum amount of VC in games u sim seems fair to me. Sort of a salary of 100-350 vc per game, depending on quality of opponent and how well ur player plays in the game. But yes, i agree u should still be required to play games to have badges and high attribute boostsComment

Re: My Career: You dont earn ANY vc when u simulate??
Rather than choking the VC for people who earn a big contract and have no reason to grind out an 82 game season, they should limit the simming. I know the sim stops you at some point, or forces you to play games or cut scenes kick in, so I don't think it's as easy as you make it sound.
If you don't play at least 40% of your first two seasons, you should be waived and have to go back to 10 day contracts. It's silly to sign a player for a VC contract and not give you any VC after you've EARNED that contract.
Using it for other modes is an issue, but an easily regulated one. As it is, you don't get a ton of VC for your starting contract and you would have to at least play the first two 10-day contracts to get a full year. Not to mention that you'd have to spend VC if you want to do well enough to earn a decent contract that would even be worth farming.
Again, not as simple as you make it out.Comment

Bro just drop it.. getting vc in my career just by simming is a terrible idea and 2k will not implement it into the game
