In MyCareer, which games do you play and which do you sim?

Just curious as to whether you play every single game in MyCareer to get all the VC or do you sim some of the games to cut down on the season length.

What do you guys do? If you sim, don't you lose out on alot of potential VC?

I play all my games on 12 minutes. Always have, and always will.

I usually skip games with good players at my position....I'm a SF so read Kevin Durant, Lebron, Melo, etc. It's too frustrating trying to guard them with the wonky, slow defense, and their ability to make shots not matter how good the defense is.

Same here. I'm 68 OVR but having to guard Lebron or Durant is an absolute joke, and the AI doesn't take that into effect is pretty ridiculous. LOL how is an undrafted guy who JUST was signed to a team going to be able to cover the best players in the NBA and take minus performance for not guarding them perfectly??

I play games that give you the most VC, so really I only play against the hardest competition. I play every playoff game tho. I'm thinking about playing nearly every game next season to go for an MVP.

This is what I'm doing. The first season I mostly played the games that got me the most VC, but in the second year I plan on playing them all. Just need to settle in on how many minute quarters I want to play.

So you know how much games require for the MVP? I played about 45 so far but don't want to sim to playoffs and miss out chance for it.

I'll play all my games until my guy is maxed out at which point i'll only play the playoff games.

I'm planning on buying the game again. After the 2k14 fiasco I thought I'd wait it out for a while to see how the game was. Still got that itch though, so yeah.
Question: I've read that there are no key games anymore in 2k15, but that you can sim in your first seasona gain. How does simming work now, since it will not be (the terrible) 'sim to next key game'. Can you just sim game by game? That would be awesome for someone like me, who doesn't have the time to play 82 games + playoffs a season.

Yeah, you can choose which games you want to play. You can sim the whole season too if you like. You're not forced to play certain games anymore.

Thanks for the quick response! This is great news for me. Especially with the ability to do franchise with shortened seasons. This game might be worth it after all!

Yea, I like MyCareer but I don't want to play all the games because it makes the season somewhat shorter, but at the same time I don't want to lose out on VC either. Kinda stuck here.

I play 10 min quarters and play every game. I started out doing so to get as much VC as possible so I could be an all-star hopefully by mid-season 2. Then it just became hard for me mentally to sim, so i end up playing every game not wanting to miss out on badges or VC.
