Eichel in Be A GM draft - possible workaround

I tested this out and it worked when I simmed a full season, so I'm sure it will fall apart when I actually play out my GM mode.

1) Create Jack Eichel and put him on the NHL team that you'll be using for Be A GM. I had to make him a year older or the game wouldn't let me put him in the NHL. Set his contract for 4 years at $1.25M per year.
2) Apparently CAPs can ignore the age restrictions for the AHL, so Eichel can go to the minors for the entire season. He'll progress a little, so he might end up being noticably better than McDavid by draft day; I'll probably lower his ratings a bit to keep him in line.
3) On draft day, let McDavid get drafted #1. Offer Eichel to the CPU for the #2 pick. He should be good enough to have the CPU GM jump on that trade. Then burn the pick by taking some garbage WHL grinder.

If it all works out, Eichel will be with the team that had the #2 pick with a 3-year entry level-type contract.

I'm going to do the same thing with Noah Hanifin and the #3 pick and I fully expect to have some unforeseen consequences that will break my Be A GM mode after I put a few months of real life into it.

I don't think that will work in '15...as far as I know he has to be assigned to a team during creation so he'll never be in the draft.

if u do as directed in the video it works, ive done it with eichel in my nhl 15... if u watch the video after u create him u have to assign him to a junior team, then go in and edit his age and stuff... like i said if u follow the video it works

In case anyone is confused, the youtube video tut DOES NOT work '15 for PS4.
The OP should, in theory, work for '15 & PS4

Has anyone figured out how to draft created players on PS4? I like the OP regarding the trade for 2nd overall but I wanted to create other draft eligible players..

Nope,
Because when you create the player, you have no choice but to assign him to a 'pro' team (during the creation process) and, you cannot pick 'none' for 'year drafted'

I've tried it a few different ways, and it doesn't work

I was able to create Eric Lindros and he was on the Generals in the OHL for the 2015 draft for PS4

THE ONLY PROBLEM BEING LITERALLY EVERY PLAYER I HAVE EVER CREATED IS DUPLICATED AND IS IN FREE AGENCY

every single damn one of them, but....I am going to try to move the one in FA to a national team and see if that will remove him completely from my GM, instead of having 1 in the OHL and 1 in the FA pool in my GM

anyone else having duplicate players when the create players?

I think the duplicate problem happens when you create the player, save the player, exit out of that created player...but then if you go back in and EDIT that player, this is when they become duplicated.....If you never go back in and edit a created player, I don't think they become duplicated, make sense ?

Makes sense that the game does that, makes no sense that it's kept in the game though but....

my results so far...

moved the FA Lindros after changing his age, to Japan...he was then gone from the OHL and the 15 draft, didn't check to see if he was in FA pool before I exited out of myGM and then I changed his age back to make him 17, moved the Japan NT lindros to OHL so there is a Lindros on Ottawa and Oshawa

only 1 lindros was in my GM, he was in the FA...so maybe a 3rd was then created? I haven't checked the FA in the rosters to see if that's the case...

if I could move that 3rd FA to Oshawa he might be in the draft....but at that point it's a 30 minute process to create a draft eligible player, EA needs to fix this

As far as getting the draft eligible Lindros into the rosters I created him, birth year like 1997 or 1996, he's 17 with feb 28 birthday, assigned him to an NHL team, then moved him around in player movement and edited his DOB somewhere in there...I should be able to do it again with a new CAP and write down the directions

Problem was there was him in the draft, and as an FA

And correct me if I'm wrong here, but the entire problem in the first place is that you have to select a pro team and select the contract length/amount so you can't just straight up create a 17 year old and assign them with no pro contract to an OHL team right?

I started my GM, no Lindros CAP in the OHL and there are now 2 in the FA pool...

Ya, this game is a ****ing mess
I hope-to-god they fix all these roster sharing/editing problems for '16

And correct me if I'm wrong here, but the entire problem in the first place is that you have to select a pro team and select the contract length/amount so you can't just straight up create a 17 year old and assign them with no pro contract to an OHL team right?

the ps3 version seems to work fine with creating players for drafts
