Keep Blowing easy lays online!!!!!!!!

Its like that offline as well. Been that way for a couple years anyway with the game. Offline you have to raise the lay up slider to I think I have it at 53, to get a realistic game. Unfortunately for you online guys you cant adjust sliders.

I actually think the devs do this to keep PIP down, rather than do it the right way which would be missing shots because of good D.

Definitely gets frustrating on a FB to miss a easy lay up, I actually think if you pulled up an shot 3's on the break you would shoot a higher % than you would going for the lay up,lol.

What camera angle are you using. Adjusting zoom height side or 2k makes a difference on what angles and amount of contact you're able to see.

That interesting. I use the 2k camera only, I never could get into broadcast or those others. Broadcats always made it hard for me on the baseline, but enjoy watching other plays with broadcast though.

I do love the shooting mechanics, I know some have complained about them changing it this yr, but I really like the change.

I do see to many layups missed on FB's and thats not in MP, I dont play none of the gimmick modes, I only play either exhbition game or Association. Had the same issue lat yr as well. Not really a issue for me cause I just bump up the layup slider to 53 and that fixes it for both AI an myself.

I think where the issue is at is in the FB itself not the actual shot itself. There just dont seem to be enough seperation in speed and IMO thats why you see missed gimmys on FB.

Its not overly bad, but could use a little more work.

So what is the button or stick timing for layups? Is it like shooting?

Isn't it obvious that they spent little to no time at all on this consoles version of the game? Just the garbage that is the roster set should tell you that as far as they are concerned you paid $60 like everyone else but you weren't promised or guaranteed a damn thing would be updated for the game. However, that doesn't stop them from creating new issues in the game that add on to the existing that they never addressed (most likely because they didn't know how to fix them). This is the 4th year they have messed with shooting, when it was never an issue, now its an issue, layups after layups after layups and then dunks after dunks after dunks are constantly missed when in the NBA you might see that once or twice, but not 8-10 times a game. We gave them $60, they gave us the finger so dont expect anything from them in any area regarding this game. My advice is if you are moving up to next gen in the next 4-6 months, to show your disgust and how you feel taken advantage of purchase NBA LIVE, give that a shot, you know their servers are not going to be a probelm, you now they will have the most accurate roster set because they are partnered with synergy which is the nba's new best friend in stats and analysis. Gameplay be damned, don't give this company $60 more of your hard work because if you want to be heard you hurt them where it hurts the most and thats their wallets.

Yes that true, too truley hurt 2k, not buying thier game is the way to go. Unfortunately if your a diehard basketball fan then there is no choice but to buy NBA2k when you move to next gen. I have seen Live an its a joke, and they dont have sliders either, and you know there isnt a game made that plays sim out of the box without some adjustments, not even MLBTS. Plus If I remember right you cant edit players either with their game, unless that was just last yr.

I thought I would have a PS4 by now, but health issues have put a kink in that plan and I just cant spend that money for a console and game, knowing my wife is working her rear off trying to support us. I really wish now I hadnt bought 15 and just stuck with 14 considering the lack of support this game will get along with the lack of effort put into the game by 2k.

IM not such a 2k fan boy that if EA ever makes a great basketball game that I wont buy it, cause if they do get it right I will gladly buy it. 1 thing EA did with their last NBA LIve game was give us up to date rosters on the old gen console, while 2k has always done a horrible job.

Heres wishing and hoping EA makes a solid basketball game at some point, but I know that chance is about as slim as 2k actually giving us old gen guys up to date accurate rosters ever,lol.

I do know I will have my PS3 for a long time the way it looks, and I do know that NBA2k15 is the last dime 2k has gotten from me on this console. Hopefully its the last dime ever cause Im fed up with their laziness and lies, but I know once I do finally get a PS4 its all but guaranteed that NBA2k will still be way above what NBA Live will be.

And what have EA done for last gen for people who love basketball? No one cares, and you knew the risks buying this game.

Its seem after the roster update, layups are missing a little less but occasionally i get a layup miss the piss me off. Maybe thing a getting better.

My Player: 6'11 PF Defensive PF Won't Dunk

Title

-6'11 Defensive Power Forward-->90 Standing Dunk + 85 Dunk + Posterizer

-Guy will not dunk under the rim even when clear, only lay-ups. Will not dunk in traffic. Only dunks on fast break. Guy will not dunk Alley oops, just lay them up

-Op buys 3 dunks, guy still doesn't do animations

-Op has tried equiping 15 dunks under dunk package. No dunks still


Don't know what else to do....I forgot about shoot in traffic, but it only goes up to 75 and I'm at 68, so gonna try upgrading that. After that.....Well I don't know what to do.

I've read in this community and I agree, that EA making lousy nba titles has an impact on the whole nba sim game market. Without competition, 2k is playing alone. It is a monopoly of sorts. They don't have to compete against a good product, so they don't have to really deliver a high end product. On the other hand, we as consumers may have become unrealistic in our expectations. Maybe we asked too much and this imploded in a 2k15 product trying to do so many things that it failed in all of them.
Of course, I see things from my perspective, being an old school gamer, living for the association mode, for the full season, the playoffs, the immersion on an alternate reality. I would be good with a proper association mode, a proper way to edit rosters(not updates, an easy way for the consumer to set the game to his liking), a comprehensive list of contemporary plays used by nba teams, a good written gameplay experience. It is the 1/6 of the game. I' m a fringe market segment. So guys, we either learn to code games while somehow making a fortune to produce our dream nba title, or we suck it up.
