Keep watchin the vid...the Madden footage plays after the TDAT trailer.

Hit Stick anims look okay...looks like stuff espnfl already had though.

The new Player Models look alot better In motion.

Pre Snap defense looks like it would take way too long to pull off...literally impossible to get all that stuff done vs another human.

Kanobi,

What do you think of the news about Madden2005 (i.e. the article on IGN?)?

Yes, it would take a long time to manually change many players on defense, and in real life, that is one thing the hurry up O is used for; helping prevent the D to adjust. Same goes for QB's with a short count, etc. In addition, QB's or offenses that are slow to adjust or get off the ball will pay. In my opinion, this certainly adds balance to the game, something just about everyone has complained about. Besides the D, did anyone check out the fog effect and the moon on the Packer replay?

Madden looks good IMO. Whether or not these new ideas will succeed or not who knows, but one thing is for sure, EA has already got people believing and that will make their marketing campaign that much easier. Hell I know I'm definately going to be playing a game with that idea for defense, i.e., hit stick. Never saw that one coming. Unfortunately I now do believe that Ray Lewis will be the cover athelete. Too many defensive changes and focus on defense

There's also an article about NCAA on IGN also. I think it's interesting the games have taken a decidedly different approach to implementing enhancements using the right analog stick. It's either a concerted effort to differentiate both games from each other. Or perhaps... the individual development groups (if they are different within Tiburon) have different ideas on how to use the right analog stick.

I'll be interested in seeing the passing game in Madden. The videos of NCAA show WRs playing passes in the air very realistically, turning their bodies/head tracking seems even better than last year. Madden does look decent in motion, but check out the videos of NCAA over at EASports - they look really good.

Doesn't look like there will be real gang tackles in either game though.
