NBA 2K15 Ratings/Tendencies Discovery Thread
We had one of these for 2K14, so I figured we could definitely use one for 2K15. If anyone has any questions or anything regarding how tendencies/ratings/etc. work, this is the place to ask.

With the roll vs pop tendency, which side determines what the player will do? -
Re: NBA 2K15 Ratings/Tendencies Discovery Thread
I actually think that tendency might be backwards.
I was editing Dallas, and I noticed that, by default, Chandler has like a 99 to the "Pop" side, and Dirk is the opposite. I also noticed Chandler not rolling to the basket when I changed the tendency.
Also, I have a question for anyone who might know, from this thread:
http://www.operationsports.com/forum...plays-0-a.html
I have Dallas' Run Plays slider at 0, but when I play them, I can still recognize some of the set plays that I know are in their playbook.
Does 0 actually mean "never," or does it mean "sort of never"?Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Ratings/Tendencies Discovery Thread
I'm thinking that the fade away right or left tendency (post up) is either reversed or broken. More broken than anything. I got sick of seeing every big just fade, so I changed a bunch of them and even at 0...fade away every time. I don't know what else can contribute to it. Shoot from post, other post moves or shots or tendency to shoot in general, location...the list goes on. For now though, it's not solved for me.
Stepbacks too. You can crank the tendency to 100 and you might see 1 a game. Since there isn't a hop shot tendency that doesn't effect it (which is odd to give us the shot but no tendency to actually use it) so I think it's the other tendencies like type and location.
Getting these 2 shot types down would make the game play soooooooo much better.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Ratings/Tendencies Discovery Thread
I notice I get a lot of drifters and some step backs when I have inside and close shot at 0. This only happens inside the 3pt line 12-18 feet.
I think the step back shot is branched with the step back dribble drive move. I haven't fully tested it but I edited a Chris paul to where his step back drive tendency was higher than any other dribble drive move and I noticed he shot more step back jumpers but only when he went full ISO. Contested jumper has to be high as well.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Ratings/Tendencies Discovery Thread
Im really wondering about the effectiveness of some of these tendencies.
I wanted to 'exaggerate' some of the star's characteristics. So using Vann's roster, Ive done edited some player's tendencies. For instance I decreased Blake's fade tendency, and maxed out his drive tendency and dunk tendency. In game, he all he does is face and do soft lay ins. So I went back to the default roster with default sim sliders, and he's a beast. Ill try and narrow doan the reason, but something is off.Comment

What determines how often a ballhandler gets bumped on the perimeter? Is it Strength like a lot of people thought last year?Comment
