I remember last year to use sliders properly you had to set and load them from the settings in the main menu and then load them in CCM. If you didn't the sliders wouldn't work right. Is that still an issue now? Or can I just set them in my CCM now?

I didnt have M25 so I dont know anything about that, but on Madden15 there is no issue with adjusting sliders in CCM.
