WWE 2K15 Creation Suite Details Revealed

2K has posted a blog detailing the WWE 2K15 Creation Suite. Unfortunately, they were unable to support new versions of Create-an-Arena, Custom Divas, Create-a-Championship and Story Designer.

They do continue to promote the Superstar Studio, which was detailed about a week ago, with video footage of the process.

In previous years, we allowed players to change the color threads on the Superstars, as well as edit the attire on a limited amount of Superstars. For WWE 2K15 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, not only will you be able to edit the color threads on the Superstars and Divas, but you will also be able to change their attires! The gear of the Superstars and Divas is constantly changing, and we’ve heard feedback from the fans who want to keep their roster members as up-to-date as possible, which you’ll now be able to do! For example, in WWE 2K15, we have Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in their Shield attire. With the features in Superstar Studio, you can very quickly update their gear to match what they are currently wearing by changing their in-ring attire, entrance attire and using the Logo Manager to import their logos for their merchandise. It’s an extremely quick and easy process for all of our fans.

Every attire part is given a value in the form of points, and a Superstar can use up to 128 points or 64 layers worth of attire parts. These points are shared between in-ring and entrance attires. Editing both the in-ring and entrance attires has never been easier thanks to a new user interface that allows players to seamlessly switch between them by pressing the trigger buttons. Being able to see both the in-ring and entrance models on the screen at the same time really expedites the entire process.

It says we will be able to edit the color threads on superstars and divas so does that mean Superstar threads is still in? Or do we have to take up a CAW slot just to change the color of a superstars attire?

I feel bad for female fans of the series. No custom divas seems ridiculous. I understand not having a career mode for a diva YET, but this is too much. I understand all these cuts should be back in next year, but I have to admit it still feels annoying. I just hope the career mode takes up my time and immersion.

if you edit a superstar it takes up a CAW spot, they said that in another interview

Already said it is not. So you can create new attires, but they still come out to Shield music and video.

Edit: Assuming you meant Ambrose and Rollins.

What about a drastic overhaul of a character like Cody Rhodes to Stardust? Any news on if we can change hair style, eye color, add face paint, etc?

This is really awesome. I never thought the WWE would okay changing attires like this, but I'm glad it's in.

This is looong overdue. The AKI WWF games for the N64 had this feature fully formed 15 YEARS AGO! Also, it didn't take up a separate CAW slot just to edit an existing superstar's attire.

I'm happy this feature is back, even in a slightly inferior incarnation. But ****, what the hell took so long?!!

The logo upload feature is really cool though. Sorry N64.

Definitely not happy that this feature is gone. Loved changing colors of outfits. Was hoping to put Surfer Sting and Warrior in similar color outfits to make a new tag team out of them and use them in my Universe as "new" guys. I mean I still might and just edit their outfits to make them look more like a team even if it takes up a CAW spot now that I have some spots open due to no female CAWs.

They have stated that if you are fully editing them it takes up a CAW spot, but the way this is worded is very unclear as to whether the Superstar Threads part is still around and different from fully customizing.

I have my doubts on "The primary reason we did not announce these changes earlier is due to the team working until the last minute to retain as many features as possible." considering only one feature (creating male superstars) was actually retained. That's not to take away from the features they added, but they're justifying the delay in passing info because they were working to retain features? And only one was retained? Come on.

I liked Superstar Threads because it was a simple visual difference to keep the game somewhat fresh. Now that's merged into Edit a Superstar, which takes up a creation slot. With only 25 slots, that's chopping the feature off at the knees.

I downloaded created arenas all the time, so losing that really hurts. I also question the purpose of a Hollywood Hogan, Sting, and a WCW DLC pack when there is no arena for them to logically compete and no ability to create one.

Not a huge Divas guy, but I was planning on filling out the NXT roster with a few. Oops.

I'm really excited about the idea of editing superstars, and importing logos is an incredible step up from Paint Tool, but the losses really hurt the replayability. I guess that's what the $49 in DLC is for though.
