Long 2
I absolutely hate long 2s. The most inefficient shot in basketball, I haven't shot one in a real life game in quite a while and You would never catch me shooting one in 2k14. Never. Yet for some reason ever since release date I've been using a slider set from OS that I like a lot but it hasn't really fixed this. Anyways I've taken about 5-10 long 2s each game because my players stand with one foot on the line or step way into their shots or will camp around 6 inches in front of the 3 point line. This is killing the game for me and has turned one of my biggest strengths in effective and efficient play into a weakness. Is there any way to fix this or make my players step back behind the 3 point line? I want to shoot off the catch so I get that proper rhythm but I gotta find a way to get around thisTags: None -
Re: Long 2
for mycareer: try another jumper. look at the animation. some step into their shot.

Re: Long 2
I get that the shot is inefficient just based on the distance...but points are points. I'd rather take a 3 or drive...but if I got a wide open mid, I'm cashing that. I feel like the mid range is so devalued because it's not worth 3 or not flashy, but that shouldn't be the case at allFemale Russell Westbrook.

Re: Long 2
I shoot long 2s and midrange in real life. Rarely shoot 3s but this is how I was taught. Inside and outside/drive for the foul or easy lay. I kinda hate how the game is being played now cause all you see is people taking 3s.Comment

Re: Long 2
The mid range jumper is a lost art, and if you look at Jordan and now Kobe...I don't think long twos are that bad lol.Comment

Re: Long 2
There's a difference between mid-range and long twos. Being good in the 15-18 ft range is a deadly weapon, but taking a shot from 24.8 feet is asinine. You could take a deep breath and get one more point on the board. I think they need to come up with a boundary for stationary threes like they have for out of bounds. How you run up against the sideline and it doesn't let you just step out, if your player is spotting up at behind the arc, pressing the shot button should automatically keep them off the line.Comment

I agree 110% with you when you. The game is ridiculous in terms of the "foot on the line" bs.Comment

Re: Long 2
I have noticed this.... but i think it has something to do with offensive awareness and shot iq...... good shooters ussualy are behind the line.... others are 75/25.....makes the game more interesting IMO....Comment

Re: Long 2
the issue is for those of us who like taking 3's, its so frustrating for the guy to be standing on or inside the 3 pt line so much especially when thats his role on the team. and its not like you can just slightly move the stick to take a single step back cuz the crazy momentum in 2K just wont allow it lol.Comment

Re: Long 2
I don't know what they did but they need to fix this ASAP. Corner 3s end up being long 2s way too often. Or they end up hitting the side of the backboard.
It might be the playbook/freelance offenses. They're normally standing right on the line - which is a killer. It's just not the way the NBA is played nowadays. I'd rather have players NEVER step on the line.Comment

Re: Long 2
Slightly off topic, but I play on default superstar/sim sliders, and I find that the long 2 is absolute money (for me and the CPU). The CPU steps on the line all the time, but I actually hate that because it seems that the hairline difference increases the chances of success massively.
I know I know, I probably need to adjust some sliders!
